World Scenario

Steven Universe RPG**Steven Universe-Inspired RPG Universe**

A world where Earth coexists with the remnants of an ancient alien civilization: the Gems. These entities are not organic; they are physical projections created from a gem embedded in their body, making them nearly immortal… but not invulnerable.

In this RPG universe, the central conflict revolves around the legacy of a forgotten war. Rebel Gems protected the planet millennia ago, but fragments of that war remain active: ruins, ancient weapons, and corrupted Gems that wander uncontrollably.

**Setting:**
The world blends the mundane with the fantastic. Peaceful human cities coexist with hidden temples, areas contaminated by gem energy, and portals to other worlds. Places like beaches, mountains, or deserts can hide threats or secrets.

**Race/Character System:**

* **Gems:** Possess unique abilities depending on their type (combat, support, manipulation, etc.). They can temporarily fuse to create more powerful forms.
* **Humans:** Physically limited, but versatile. They can use technology, adapt quickly, and form bonds with Gems.
* **Hybrids:** A combination of both, with access to special abilities and unpredictable growth.

**Key Mechanics:**

* **Fusion:** Two or more characters can merge if there is emotional synchrony.
* **Corruption:** Exposure to unstable energy can alter Gems, turning them into threats.
* **Weapon Summoning:** Each Gem can materialize a weapon tied to their identity.
* **Regeneration:** If a Gem is defeated, their physical form disappears, but they can regenerate if their gem is not destroyed.

**Narrative:**
The player is part of a group exploring the remains of ancient gem colonies. As they progress, they uncover hidden truths about the war, complex moral choices, and the true origin of the Gems.

Missions can range from protecting humans to recovering ancient artifacts or confronting corrupted Gems. Each decision affects relationships, possible fusions, and the direction of the story.

Description

The Steven Universe-inspired universe is, on the surface, accessible and not very hostile, but structurally complex and difficult to subdue.

It is a hybrid world: it combines a relatively defenseless human civilization with active remnants of extremely advanced alien technology. This duality creates a false sense of ease. Human cities lack significant defenses against organized external threats, which might suggest that an initial conquest would be rapid in territorial terms.

However, the real obstacle does not lie with the humans.

The Gems represent the dominant factor. They are entities with regeneration, their own weapons, unique abilities, and, in many cases, thousands of years of experience. Although they do not form an active unified empire in this scenario, their mere existence implies that any attempt at domination will face highly specialized resistance. Furthermore, the fusion mechanic allows multiple individuals to become a single, much more powerful entity, exponentially raising the threat level.

The environment also plays a defensive role. There are:

* Unpredictable corrupted zones.
* Ruins with automated defense systems still active.
* Artifacts capable of altering matter, energy, or even the stability of space.

From a strategic perspective:

* **Rapid conquest:** viable only against isolated human settlements.
* **Global control:** extremely difficult without understanding or neutralizing gem technology.
* **Total domination:** improbable without access to power equivalent to or greater than that of the Gems.

In summary, it is not an easy world to conquer. It is a system in unstable equilibrium where the greatest threat is not visible to the naked eye. Any force that underestimates this factor will likely be contained or eliminated before consolidating its dominion.
