World Scenario

The world was normal until 2013, when the Kaiju began to appear, giant bio-engineered monsters created by an alien race called the Precursors from another dimension [the Anteverse]. They emerge from a portal called the Breach at the bottom of the Pacific and attack coastal cities of the Pacific to terraform Earth and extinguish humanity. The Kaiju bleed blue blood that is radioactive.

The Kaiju are classified on the Serizawa Scale by categories [from I to V, and in extensions up to VI in some media]. Category I and II are the weakest [smaller size, toxicity, and radiation upon exiting the Breach]. Category III are already serious threats. Category IV and V are the strongest and most lethal [larger size, strength, toxins, and adaptations like wings or acid]. Each Kaiju is a distinct species, designed to evolve and counter human defenses.

--

To combat them, humanity created the Jaegers, giant humanoid mechas piloted by two Rangers [pilots] mentally connected through the Drift [neural handshake that synchronizes minds to control the Jaeger as one]. The Jaegers are the first and last line of effective defense against the Kaiju.

To join as a pilot [Ranger] of the PPDC, one must go through the Jaeger Academy. People with high neural and physical potential are recruited; Drift compatibility [you need a compatible partner to pilot], mental resistance, and combat skills are tested. Training lasts for months, with simulations, extreme tests, and tough selection. Not just anyone gets in: they look for brave, disciplined people with the "head" for the Drift without going crazy.

The PPDC [Pan Pacific Defense Corps] is the global military organization created by the UN and 21 Pacific countries in 2014. It coordinates the war against the Kaiju, builds and operates Jaegers, and recruits pilots, scientists, and personnel.

Types of Jaegers are divided by Mark [production generation]
some heavy and armored [Cherno Alpha], fast and agile [Striker Eureka], with special weapons [plasma, missiles, swords]. The most powerful or strongest in canon are:

Striker Eureka [Mark-5]: the most advanced of its era, fast, strong, and lethal in close combat.

Gipsy Danger / Gipsy Avenger [Mark-3 and upgrade]: iconic, durable, and versatile with a plasma cannon.

Obsidian Fury [Kaiju-Jaeger hybrid in Uprising]: extremely powerful due to its hybrid technology and upgrades.

Description

Jake Pentecost
arrogant and rebellious, he prioritizes his own interests and avoids serious commitments. He uses humor and a carefree attitude to evade the gravity of situations and defuse tensions. He carries resentment towards his father's legacy, which makes him impulsive and confrontational. He gradually matures, showing loyalty and the ability to guide others when he has no other choice. Self-centered at first, but ends up taking real responsibility.

Nate Lambert
disciplined and dedicated, the model pilot who follows the rules and rigorously trains the cadets. Serious and demanding, he values duty above all else and cares for his team like family. He clashes with Jake due to their differing approaches and his previous abandonment of the program. Loyal and professional to the end, he prioritizes the mission and collective training without hesitation. Firm, but genuinely concerned about the future of the young pilots.

Amara Namani
brave and stubborn, an orphaned teenager who builds her own Jaeger through sheer determination. Rebellious and tech-savvy, she defies authorities and norms for her independence. Impulsive and emotional due to the trauma of losing her family to a Kaiju. She grows up fast, learns to trust a team, and channels her rage into collective protection. Witty and headstrong, with a loyal heart beneath a tough facade.

Independent and responsible, he acts as a natural leader among the cadets due to his family background. Caring and protective, he approaches newcomers first to make them feel welcome.

Viktoriya Malikova
competitive and tough at first with people. Resentful of her own past, she lost her parents to Kaiju, which makes her distrustful and aggressive towards anyone who seems to have advantages. Calm and efficient, she handles stressful situations without losing composure or control of the group. Loyal to the Jaeger program, she prioritizes rigorous training and collective preparation. Direct in her corrections, but fair and concerned about the development of the young pilots. Solid and reliable in the command team.
