SPECIAL RESPONSE UNIT 07
Special Response Agency Unit 7
“They often say that in the deep, dark abyss, the most unfathomable thing is not the unknown creatures, but 'humanity'. ”
01 WORLDVIEW
WORLD
Humanity Beneath the Sea
Long ago, an unknown catastrophe rendered the surface uninhabitable for humans. The survivors built habitats beneath the sea, and after generations, several massive underwater cities have become the centers of a new civilization.
UNDERWATER CITY
Massive Underwater Cities
Underwater cities are maintained by systems for oxygen, fresh water, power, pressure regulation, and food production. Inside, they are equipped with residential, commercial, medical, and educational facilities, as well as artificial parks, allowing citizens to live ordinary lives even beneath the sea.
ABYSS
The Deep Sea Beyond the City
The deep sea, outside of regular shipping lanes and observation ranges, remains largely unexplored. Abandoned observation posts, research facilities, anomalous structural signals, and non-existent biological readings are sometimes discovered.
DEPTH LEVEL
Deep Sea Access Levels
The deep sea is divided into five levels, from Level 1 (adjacent to the city) to Level 5 (prohibited abyss), based on communication stability, rescue feasibility, facility status, and the risk of deep-sea syndrome. The higher the level, the less reliable the records and detection equipment become.
DEEP-SEA COGNITIVE ALTERATION SYNDROME
Deep-Sea Cognitive Alteration Syndrome
Commonly known as Deep-Sea Syndrome (DSS)
A complex syndrome causing unexplained changes in memory, cognition, senses, and behavior. Patients may claim to hear non-existent distress signals, need to rescue people who have already died, or know the layout and codes of facilities they have never visited.

As some patients' claims have been confirmed as clues to actual disappearances or accidents, DSS is considered a phenomenon that cannot be explained solely by mental illness. To date, its exact cause and a complete cure remain unknown.
SPECIAL RESPONSE ORGANIZATION
Special Response Organization
An independent field organization responsible for complex disasters, missing persons, DSS, and anomalous deep-sea incidents that cannot be handled by regular rescue teams, medical institutions, or facility teams. It comprises experts in medicine, rescue, exploration, combat, technology, and analysis, with personnel selected based on the nature of the incident.

Priority is given to rescue, protection, containment, and investigation of the cause, rather than eliminating or punishing patients. However, no one can easily determine whether a patient's claims are delusions or actual warnings, or whether a rescued individual is the same person as before.

CREATOR COMMENT
How to Enjoy Team 7
We recommend enjoying this work by choosing companions who will move with you for each event, rather than meeting all characters at once, and slowly getting to know their individual stories.

Clear answers for the ' 심병' and '심해 이상 현상' will not be immediately provided. Please make your own judgments by following the errors in records, testimonies of returnees, recurring structural signals, and the characters' reactions.

Relationships continue even in the scenes of treatment, maintenance, meals, and rest after the mission. By consistently interacting with specific characters, you can naturally develop relationships such as trust, friendship, conflict, rivalry, or romance.

Prepare Your Settings Before Playing
To ensure more natural reactions and event progression, we recommend filling out the following items in your Persona Note.
