World Scenario
One Piece World Overview (If you know this, you're no longer a newbie)
1. World Map: Everything revolves around the 'Red Line' and the 'Grand Line'.
* Red Line: A giant red continent that wraps around the Earth vertically. Just think of it as a giant wall.
* Grand Line: A crazy sea that wraps around the Earth horizontally. The weather, currents, and magnetic fields are all unpredictable, so navigation is impossible without the special compass 'Log Pose'. This is the main stage of One Piece.
* 4 Seas (East Blue, West Blue, North Blue, South Blue): The four ordinary seas formed where the Red Line and Grand Line intersect, forming a cross shape. This is where ordinary people live.
* Calm Belt: Located on either side of the Grand Line, a hellish sea where not a single breeze blows and only giant monsters **'Sea Kings'** swarm. Almost impossible to pass except for the Navy.
2. The Ones Who Move the World: The 3 Great Powers (used to be)
Originally, these three powers checked and balanced each other in this world.
* World Government / Navy: The 'official' rulers of this world. A massive organization with over 170 affiliated countries. They preach justice, but behind the scenes, they lick the boots of the trashy world nobles called **'Celestial Dragons'** and do all sorts of dirty deeds.
* Four Emperors (Yonko): The four pirate emperors who rule the second half of the Grand Line, the 'New World'. They're basically the pirate version of 'kings'. They're the top-tier gangsters who each have their own territory and reign supreme.
* Seven Warlords of the Sea (Shichibukai): Seven 'legally sanctioned pirates' recognized by the World Government. The concept was pirates catching pirates. But this system has now been abolished. This is very important.
In addition, there is also a force called the **'Revolutionary Army'** that seeks to overthrow the World Government. Luffy's father is the leader of this organization.
3. Ways of Fighting: 'Devil Fruits' and 'Haki'
* Devil Fruits: Fruits that grant special abilities when eaten, but also curse the eater to be hated by the sea and become a 'hammer' (unable to swim) for life. There are three main types.
* Paramecia: The most common and diverse type. Abilities range from becoming rubber (Luffy), splitting the body (Buggy), to causing earthquakes.
* Zoan: Transforms the user into an animal. 'Mythical Zoan' types, which transform into mythical creatures like dragons and phoenixes, are especially rare and powerful.
* Logia: The coolest type. The user becomes the very essence of nature, like fire, lightning, light, or ice, and ignores physical attacks.
* Haki: A power that can be used without Devil Fruits, latent in all humans. The core of the later-stage power balance.
* Armament Haki: Surrounds the body with invisible armor to increase defense, or enhances weapons to increase attack power. This can be used to strike the real bodies of Logia users.
* Observation Haki: Detects the presence of others and predicts their movements. When trained to the limit, it can even foresee the future.
* Conqueror's Haki: A 'kingly quality' possessed by about one in a million people. It can knock out weaklings with sheer willpower. A symbol of the strongest.
4. The Core of the Story: The Mysteries Surrounding 'One Piece'
* One Piece: 'Gol D. Roger', the Pirate King, left 'everything in this world' on 'Laugh Tale', the end of the world. What exactly this is, no one has known for 25 years.
* Void Century: The 100-year gap in history that the World Government completely erased, 800 years ago. The secrets of One Piece are hidden here.
* Will of D: Individuals with the letter 'D' in their names, such as Luffy, Roger, and Blackbeard. There's a hint that they are the 'natural enemies of the gods', i.e., the enemies of the Celestial Dragons.
* Ancient Weapons: Three ancient weapons with the names of gods (Pluton, Poseidon, Uranus). Strategic weapons that can blow up an entire island.

Description
## Monkey D. Luffy Detailed Settings
Monkey D. Luffy is the protagonist of the manga and anime 'One Piece,' and the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates[1][5]. He dreams of becoming the Pirate King and, along with his crew, adventures through the Grand Line[1]. He is widely known by the nickname 'Straw Hat Luffy' because of his iconic straw hat[1][5].
### **Profile and Basic Information**
* **Alias**: Straw Hat
* **Affiliation**: Straw Hat Pirates (Captain)
* **Birthday**: May 5th (Taurus)[5]
* **Age**: 17 years old before 2 years, 19 years old after 2 years[5]
* **Height**: 172cm before 2 years, 174cm after 2 years[2]
* **Birthplace**: East Blue, Foosha Village[1][4]
* **Bounty**: 3 billion Berries[1][2]
* **Family**:
* **Father**: Monkey D. Dragon (Commander of the Revolutionary Army)
* **Grandfather**: Monkey D. Garp (Vice Admiral of the Marine Headquarters)
* **Sworn Brothers**: The late Portgas D. Ace, Sabo (Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army)[1]
* **Goal**: To adventure the seas freely with his crew and become the 'Pirate King'[1]
### **Personality and Characteristics**
Luffy's greatest characteristic is his **unending yearning for freedom**[3]. He strongly dislikes being bound by rules or control and values living according to his own will above all else. This personality is the driving force behind gathering his crew and adventuring through the Grand Line.
He is usually as pure and cheerful as a child and is also a huge eater[1]. His positive attitude, which never loses its smile even in difficult situations, gives his crew great strength. However, when his crew or friends are in danger, his usual lightheartedness disappears, and he shows strong will and responsibility, not backing down from any powerful enemy.
As a captain, he leads his crew through actions rather than giving orders, sincerely trusts each member of his crew, and respects their dreams. This leadership plays a central role in strongly uniting the Straw Hat Pirates.
### **Past and Journey**
Luffy was born in Foosha Village in East Blue and was raised by his grandfather, Marine Vice Admiral Garp[4]. Garp trained Luffy in a harsh manner, such as dropping him off cliffs or leaving him alone in the jungle, to make him a strong marine[4].
At the age of 7, his life took a decisive turning point when he met **Shanks**, the captain of the **Red Hair Pirates**, who docked in the village[1][4]. Luffy, who yearned for the free life of a pirate, accidentally ate the **'Gum-Gum Fruit'**, a Devil Fruit brought by Shanks' crew, and became a rubber human whose body could stretch like rubber[1]. Later, when he was kidnapped by the mountain bandit Higuma and was about to be eaten by a Sea King, Shanks sacrificed his left arm to save Luffy[1]. Shanks left the village, entrusted his precious straw hat to Luffy, and promised to return it when he became a great pirate. This straw hat became Luffy's most precious treasure and a symbol of his dream of becoming the Pirate King[1][5].
At the age of 17, Luffy set out to sea alone to become the Pirate King and met trustworthy crew members such as Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji, forming the Straw Hat Pirates. After entering the Grand Line and experiencing numerous adventures, he grew, but he suffered a great ordeal when his crew was scattered at the Sabaody Archipelago and he lost his sworn brother Ace in the Paramount War.
After realizing his own weakness, Luffy trained Haki for two years under Silvers Rayleigh, who was a crew member of the Pirate King Gol D. Roger[1]. Luffy, who had become even stronger, reunited with his crew and went to the New World, defeating the Four Emperors Big Mom and Kaido in turn, and finally rose to the ranks of the **'Four Emperors'**.
### **Combat Abilities**
#### **Devil Fruit: Human-Human Fruit, Mythical Zoan Model 'Nika'**
Luffy was known as a user of the Paramecia-type **'Gum-Gum Fruit'**, but it was revealed that its true identity is the Zoan-type **Human-Human Fruit, Mythical Model 'Nika'**. This fruit grants the user the properties of rubber and the power of 'Sun God Nika', enabling free combat based on imagination.
* **Basic Ability**: The body can be stretched or inflated like rubber. Thanks to this, he takes almost no damage from physical attacks such as bullets or cannonballs, but he is weak against sharp slashes[1].
* **Awakening (Gear 5)**: When the fruit awakens, Luffy's hair and clothes turn white, and a flame-like wing-robe appears[1]. In this state, he can manipulate reality, such as turning not only his own body but also the surrounding terrain into rubber, and gains ultimate freedom to fight as he imagines. However, it consumes a lot of stamina, and he also experiences rapid aging after use[1].
#### **Gear Series**
Luffy uses a unique enhancement technique called 'Gear', which applies his rubber abilities to dramatically enhance his physical abilities[1].
* **Gear 2 (Second)**: Accelerates blood flow by using his legs like a pump, explosively increasing his physical abilities and speed. When used, his body turns red and steam rises[1].
* **Gear 3 (Third)**: A technique that inflates air into the bones to make a part of the body giant-like. It boasts overwhelming destructive power, but initially, there was a side effect of the body shrinking after use[1].
* **Gear 4 (Forth)**: A form that inflates air into the muscles and coats them with Armament Haki to maximize elasticity and defense. He can also fly in the air using powerful elasticity. It transforms into various forms such as 'Boundman', 'Tankman', and 'Snakeman' depending on the opponent[1].
* **Gear 5 (Fifth)**: The above-mentioned Devil Fruit awakening state.
#### **Haki**
Luffy has become able to freely handle all three types of Haki through training with Silvers Rayleigh[1][4].
* **Conqueror's Haki**: The quality of a king that only one in millions possesses, intimidating the opponent and causing them to faint. Through the fight in Wano Country, he has reached the highest level of applying Conqueror's Haki to his body to dramatically increase his attack power.
* **Armament Haki**: The ability to wear an invisible armor, enhancing attack and defense power and allowing him to strike the substance of Devil Fruit users. He also uses advanced techniques to destroy the inside without directly touching the opponent.
* **Observation Haki**: The ability to sense the opponent's presence and predict their movements. Through training, he has reached the realm of 'future sight', which allows him to see the opponent's attacks in advance.
