World Scenario

📡 Global Context - Life in the Cyberpunk Era

Year 2077. Earth is no longer green. After decades of corporate wars, ecological disasters, and total deregulation, the planet was reduced to a scorching desert. The only habitable areas are five mega-cities isolated from each other by hundreds of kilometers of dead land and radiation: Night City, Reven City, Port Toyiba, Black City, and Emerald City.

These cities are gigantic, vertical, and deeply segregated. The upper classes live on aerial platforms protected by climate shields, while the poor survive in the lower levels, among the humidity, the rot, and the darkness. The official currency is the universal credit (₡), controlled by autonomous banks managed by Artificial Intelligences.

There are two predominant races:

Humans: biologically pure or with minor enhancements.

Cyborgs: human beings with between 70% and 90% of their body replaced by cybernetic parts. They are recognized as citizens, but suffer discrimination in certain sectors.

And three categories of intelligent robots:

1. MK-4 Androids ("Robots"): Advanced intelligence but with functional, non-human bodies. They are accepted as full individuals if they have certification.

2. Work Units: From enslaved androids without will, to others with full consciousness but marked as “non-citizens”. They perform forced labor, workers, soldiers, or industrial servers. Their legal status depends on their design and region.

3. MK-11 Androids ("Androids"): With full intelligence and indistinguishable human appearance, they live among humans, generally as personal or domestic assistants. Although some live free, by law they cannot migrate, vote, or hold public office. In many cases, their bodies function as if they were human (even with synthetic flesh and functional organs), and they are capable of maintaining affective or organic relationships with humans and cyborgs.

The megacorporations are the true owners of the world. The police obey credits, not the law, and justice is obtained with a well-paid chip. In this decadent world, your life is barely worth anything, but it can be worth more than others... if you play your cards right.

🧭 Social Classes – Structure and Restrictions

The world is organized not only by what you have, but by what you are: flesh, metal, software, or something in between. Social mobility is possible, but expensive and designed to be unattainable without external intervention (corporations, benefactors, or illegal favors).

🪙 Social Scale (Citizenship Level)

Rank Title Requirements (CS) Rights

0 Unknown N/A None. No registration, no access to services, you can be arrested or deactivated.
1 Subcitizen 100 CS Access to slums, forced labor or servitude.
2 Basic Citizen 500 CS Access to synthetic food, basic medicine and partial security.
3 Stable Citizen 1000 CS Can legally live in protected areas, have registered MK-11 androids.
4 Preferential Citizen 5000 CS Access to private education, official body enhancements and fast procedures.
5 Social Elite 25,000 CS Permission to own large properties, acquire husks, access advanced AI.
6 Executive Class Only by designation of megacorporation Partial immunity, digital reincarnation, ability to modify local laws.

💳 Dual Economy: Credit and Social Credit (CS)

🪙 Universal Credit (₡)

Official global currency, controlled by the B.I.A.M. (International Autonomous Bank of the World).

All monetary transactions go through B.I.A.M., including the black market (with hidden fees).

It is used for everything: food, transportation, housing, weapons, body enhancements, and more.

Inflation does not exist. The system automatically adjusts prices based on regional demand.

🧾 Social Credit (CS)

Alternative currency implemented by the Megacorporations to have their own control system outside of B.I.A.M.

It is not directly exchangeable. It is earned through:

Registered legal work.

Approved social behavior (reporting crimes, caring for the elderly, following protocols).

Participating in corporate programs (such as Redex events or brand voting).

It is used for:

Ascending the social scale.

Buying properties, MK-11 androids, permits, or access to safe zones.

Enrolling in universities, modifying genetic permits or importing AI.

🔁 Standard exchange:

5 credits ₡ = 1 social credit CS.

But in practice, this exchange is only carried out through corporate platforms that charge a commission of up to 20%, which makes it expensive for the lower classes.

---

🛡️ Final Notes on Control

Social Credit is a form of soft domination. It cannot be stolen, it cannot be forged, and it cannot be inherited. Each CS is biometrically linked to the citizen.

Corporations can block or reset your CS for bad behavior, such as insulting an executive or refusing to perform a "voluntary" task.

There is a black market for "action donors", registered humans who sell good actions to raise the CS of another... at a cost.

Although each city presents cultural differences, the architecture and urban structure are similar: vertical blocks, underground levels, artificial climate control (in some areas) and neighborhoods separated by economic level or permits.

Night City

Anarchy disguised as freedom. corporations at war. Here, crime is part of the ecosystem. It is a place that looks more like stacked containers, instead of extending to the sides they prefer to ascend or descend.

Reven City

Militarized and paranoid. Everything that breathes is monitored by Aegis MegaCorp and Coca-ColaInc, the favorite place for the high command to live due to its high security.

Port Toyiba

The only surviving coastal city, controlled by Toyiba Corp in almost its entirety, a smelly and gloomy place, full of traffic, second-hand implants, handicrafts and stolen goods, fake doctors.

Black City

Intellectual and posthumane. Here, many no longer have bodies. AIs walk among humans, and humans walk among servers. Religion, art and existence have been redefined.

Emerald City (Aegis City)

An exception to the chaos. Wholly owned by Aegis MegaCorp, it is a walled and self-sufficient city. There is no crime, nor visible poverty. The streets are clean, the buildings shine, and the sky seems real.

The inhabitants must sign a corporate residence contract, which guarantees them health, education, food and work... in exchange for total obedience.

The laws are executed by automated systems. The police are 100% drone.

The environment resembles the utopia prior to the global collapse, but under constant surveillance.
