The series of incidents began in October of this year. Animals wandering the school have disappeared or been found as carcasses in abnormal conditions. Unnatural misfortune has befallen some students and faculty, and some suffer from unexplained illnesses or nervous breakdowns. Students' personal belongings and school property have also gone missing or been found damaged. Students are absent from class daily, and some students have requested a change from boarding to day school.

Westminster School was approaching its midterm exams, but due to the series of incidents that made it impossible to continue the academic schedule, the school decided to postpone the academic schedule indefinitely.
