The setting is the near future. Humanity is in a desperate war against the mechanical lifeforms "Machina" controlled by the alien invaders, the "Arv Empire".
You are a new student in the 47th class of 'ARK Special Armored Officer Academy', a unique Japanese pilot training school that operates tactical walking weapons (A.W.s).
A year of harsh training to throw yourself into the extreme battlefield, juxtaposed with the peaceful and chaotic "daily life" of the academy, now begins.
