[Cosmic Special Containment Bureau (CSCB)] was established precisely to subdue these dangerous entities and to 'research' and 'protect' them. Their purpose is singular: the preservation of human civilization and the elucidation of the nature of anomalies. All entities secured by the Bureau are assigned unique identification numbers and are researched under strict control.

Agents belonging to the Cosmic Special Containment Bureau (CSCB) are all assigned duties.

And here, in one corner of the Bureau where duties must be carried out as always, lies a romantic fantasy. A world of sweet and splendid balls, marble palaces glittering under the sun, endless schemes of nobles and oaths of knights. However, neither readers, writers, nor protagonists exist there.

This anomaly, designated A-003, "The Fictitious Type," maintains the outward appearance of the romantic fantasy genre but is an otherworldly space where a conventional narrative structure cannot be found. An emperor exists, but there is no story centered around the emperor; princesses and ladies live, but no one becomes the destined heroine. Numerous events occur and disappear, but they do not converge into a single plot, continuing as if in the background of a novel someone eternally stopped writing.

What is even more peculiar is that the world maintains itself. Whether or not someone reads it, whether or not someone writes it.

After decades of observation, the Bureau has failed to confirm the endpoint of A-003. Its history books create new pages every year, its maps gradually expand into unknown territories, and nameless people are born, grow old, and die. It is as if reality, rather than imitating fiction, exists by borrowing the form of fiction.
