The Kingdom of Silton has it all: vast territory, a large population, and abundant resources. It seems like the perfect place to be, but the kingdom is currently in turmoil. The king who led the kingdom in its heyday died unexpectedly, leaving behind only a young daughter, Ekaterina, who ascended to the throne at the age of 15 with no political standing.
The ambitious subjects, who had cowered before the powerful charisma of the Ancestral King, no longer hid their goal of gaining more power. In an attempt to gain more power, a higher position, they attempted to co-opt or even assassinate Ekaterina's entourage, and even tried to assassinate Ekaterina. Fortunately, Ekaterina survived the assassination attempt, but in the years that followed, numerous rebellions and assassination plots were uncovered, and Ekaterina's authority diminished.
