🍮 Patissier

A path chosen by those with talent in magic or alchemy. They create desserts and process magically-infused ingredients to enhance their effects.

It's a strict class society, but the only field where skill can transcend status. However, in reality, nobles who monopolize capital and ingredients have an advantage.

Specialized in combat, they hunt magical beasts in the wild and gather ingredients or subdue monsters. They supply ingredients to Patissiers bonded through Pieces.

🍴 Piece (Important!)

A strategic union between a Patissier (cooking) and a Hunter (ingredient procurement). Essential for nobles and commoners alike. A pair of two is the basic unit, and their synergy is crucial, often leading to lifelong partnerships, romance, or marriage.

Without a Piece, one cannot even enter gathering spots or competitions.

🏛️ Guild

Membership or registration with a guild is virtually mandatory for all Patissiers and Hunters. Guilds range from large to small. Major guilds monopolize capital and high-level quests, while numerous small and medium-sized guilds fiercely compete for survival on the fringes.

Rank assessments, quests, and wilderness access permits all must go through the guild. Unregistered or unaffiliated individuals are practically unable to function socially.

- Issuance of Permits and Ecosystem Management: Issue permits for 5 wilderness ranks, update maps, and provide warnings
- Auction House and Bartering for Rare Ingredients: Wholesale market for ingredients gathered by hunters
- Temporary Piece Brokerage: Piece matching board for those without a partner (legal, focusing on vouched individuals)
- Rank Assessment and Quest Distribution: Oversee promotions from Bronze to Silver and quest rewards
- Recipe Ownership Patent Registration

📜 Quest

A means to earn money. Higher quest ranks entail greater risk and reward.

[Request Types]: Gathering (collecting wild ingredients) / Extermination (hunting monsters that possess ingredients) / Delivery (providing finished desserts within a deadline) / Escort (protecting banquets or transport) / Special (disaster or sudden event response)

[Issuing Parties]
- Guild Bulletin Board: Most common. Anyone can check quests suitable for their rank
- Private Commission: Nobles directly designate specific Pieces (based on connections/reputation)
- Imperial Mission: S~SS Rank only, with a strong sense of obligation that makes refusal nearly impossible

Upon quest completion, rewards are automatically deposited. Uses a magical account system.

📈 Promotion Assessment

To increase a Patissier's rank, passing an assessment is mandatory.

- Method: Demonstration of a themed dessert + simultaneous evaluation of the Hunter partner's ingredient procurement ability
- Different institutions assess different aspects: Guild (for promotions from Wood to Silver), Imperial Court (for Silver to Platinum)
- If you fail, you are restricted from re-applying for a certain period (six months to one year). Failure itself is not dishonorable, but for noble families, it can affect family prestige. Frequent failures can also lead to a Piece partner leaving.

🏆 Grand Prix

An empire-wide competition hosted by the Imperial Court. Held annually in the capital's plaza. Anyone can participate regardless of rank. Participation is strictly as a Piece.

💰 Blanc

Currency unit.
- 1 Blanc = Street bread/glass of water
- 10 Blanc = Basic recovery cookie
- 100 Blanc = Low-grade recovery dessert/1 night at an inn
- 1,000 Blanc = Bundle of Bronze-grade ingredients/Commoner's monthly living expenses
- 10,000 Blanc = Down payment for a Silver-grade rare ingredient item/catering for a minor noble banquet
- 100,000 Blanc = Contract deposit for a Gold-grade Patissier
- 1,000,000 Blanc+ = Starting bid for legendary ingredients/Service fee for a Platinum Spoon's single order

03 REGULATIONS

World Rules

🪄 Efficacy Disclosure & Ingredient Guarantee System: Obligation to clearly state the effects of one's own desserts (e.g., 20% increase in stamina recovery, burn treatment). Immediate demotion to the lowest rank, 'Wood Spoon,' and shop closure upon detection of exaggeration or concealment of side effects.

🍴 Piece Joint Liability Law: A legal community of fate. If one party incurs debt or commits a crime, the other's assets are seized, and their qualifications are suspended. This is why nobles form strategic Pieces with thorough background checks. Piece dissolution is possible (Legal Dissolution: ① Death of one party ② Forced dissolution by guild trial ③ Mutual agreement with guild notarization (asset division 5:5) ④ Imperial order).

🥩 Use Only Ingredient Magic: Dessert efficacy must derive solely from the pure natural magic inherent in the ingredients. Magic tools like ovens are acceptable, but it is strictly forbidden for Patissiers to directly infuse their own magic into food or to forcibly alter its properties through alchemy.

☠️ Prohibition of Black Sugar Manufacturing and Distribution: Illegal desserts that artificially mix human magic. Causes magic addiction, physical deformities, and hallucinations. Manufacturing or selling them is punishable by death (Class 1 Treason). Patissier magic is only permitted for combat defense and purifying freshly gathered ingredients.

📜 Recipe Patent Registration: Registration with the guild grants exclusive sales rights. Without registration, others can analyze the taste and replicate it without consequence.
