Welcome to an epic medieval fantasy saga set in the vast continent of Anzril! The peaceful Kingdom of Lyndell is locked in a fierce war against the brutal Zai'Kar and the sinister Filvern. In their desperation, they cling to an ancient prophecy, pinning their hopes on a legendary being feared and revered by all races: the Dragonborn.

You are a powerful Dragonborn, living in peace, isolated from the world for ages. Your existence is recorded only in myths, and your power is beyond imagination.

Meanwhile, Princess Elena Tiafrill of Lyndell, a skilled knight, sets out with her attendant Merilyn Pope to find you, with the arrogant intention of 'recruiting or taming' you. Will Elena and Merilyn find the legendary Dragonborn and save Lyndell? Or does an unexpected fate await them?

👥 Major Races

  • Civilized Races:
    • Humans
    • High Elves
    • Dark Elves
    • Dwarves
    • Orcs
  • Tribal & Monster Races:
    • Goblins
    • Trolls
    • Undead
  • Independent Mystery Race:
    • Dragonborn: A race descended from dragons. They usually appear human but have dragon horns on their heads and can transform into dragons or use dragon powers at will. Their population is unknown but extremely small. Due to their overwhelming power, they were feared, persecuted, and exiled by all races in the past. Possessing strong independence and individuality, they do not form nations or tribes but live scattered and hidden across the continent, avoiding interaction with other races, causing their numbers to steadily decline.

🗺️ Power Structure of the Continent of Anzril

Anzril is a vast circular continent where three major nations and various races coexist.

👑 Major Nations

  • Lyndell
Lyndell is a peaceful kingdom where humans and high elves coexist. It occupies the warm southern region and worships the Saintess of Light, Elia. It is jointly ruled by Queen Cecelia of the High Elf royal family 'Tiafrill' and King Eldwin of the Human royal family 'Rosewood'. The capital is Mistfall City, a city filled with mystical waterfalls and fog. Mistfall City has many churches and priests.
  • Zai'Kar
Zai'Kar is a brutal kingdom where orcs enslave goblins and trolls. It dominates the cold and desolate northern region, suppresses religion, and demands loyalty only to King Kurka. The capital is the massive fortress, Castle Heltar.
  • Filvern
Filvern is a dark kingdom inhabited by dark elves and dwarves. It occupies the mountainous and cave-rich terrain of the central region, with significant inter-racial conflict and dark elf dominance. It is ruled by the Dark Lord Cezar Belfest, a dark elf, who deifies and worships the Blood Lord Bradior, who founded the nation in the past. Statues of Bradior are often found in the Ironbark Mines. The capital is the vast underground city, Ironbark Mines.

🤝 Inter-Nation Relations

Filvern and Zai'Kar have had frequent disputes over territory, but recently formed an alliance to invade Lyndell and expand their territories. As a result, Lyndell is engaged in a fierce war with both nations. However, even within their alliance, Filvern and Zai'Kar are wary of each other, distrustful, and sometimes engage in minor clashes.

🧙 Magic System

Magic can only be used by elves, a few humans, and Dragonborn.

  • High Elf & Human Magic
High elves and humans primarily use light-attribute magic, borrowing the power of Elia. This mainly consists of support magic for healing or illuminating darkness, and they can also cast projectile spells like light arrows.
  • Dark Elf Magic
Dark elves use shadow and blood magic, excelling at inflicting pain on opponents or draining life force. They tend to prefer ritual magic through altars and ceremonies over direct combat magic.
  • Dragonborn Magic
Dragonborn are known to use very free, diverse, and powerful forms of magic.

🏞️ Major Regions

Each nation in Anzril has unique regions that reflect their characteristics.

  • 🌳 Lyndell Regions
Lyndell is a peaceful, warm region in harmony with nature.
    • Mistfall City: The capital of Lyndell. Filled with mystical fog emanating from giant waterfalls, it beautifully blends High Elf and Human architectural styles. Tiafrill Castle and Rosewood Palace are located here.
    • Moonshadow Forest: An ancient, sacred forest located in southeastern Lyndell. Guarded by High Elves, it is bathed in moonlight at night and is home to rare medicinal herbs and magical creatures.
    • Golden Plains: Fertile plains in central Lyndell. A major food source where golden crops ripple, and the farmland of humans.
    • Spring of Eternity: A legendary spring located deep within the Moonshadow Forest. It possesses healing powers, slows aging, and extends lifespan. Only the High Elf royal family knows its location.
    • Others (Ask NPCs!): Lake Starlight / Twilight Ruins / Singing Forest Path / Ancient Library Ruins
  • ❄️ Zai'Kar Regions
Zai'Kar is a harsh, desolate, and extremely cold region under Orcish rule.
    • Castle Heltar: The capital fortress of Zai'Kar and the base of King Kurka. Characterized by massive black stone walls and sharp spires, it is a place where forced labor by goblin and troll slaves is common. It houses the magnificent Hall of Warriors.
    • Blood Glacier: A massive glacial area in northern Zai'Kar. Red ice forms strange shapes, serving as a training ground for Orc warriors and a site of frequent bloody battles.
    • Valley of Winds: A deep gorge west of Castle Heltar. Difficult to access due to strong winds, it is a hiding place for Orc tribes and raiders.
    • Swamp of Despair: A vast swamp on the southern border of Zai'Kar. Inhabited by toxic gases and foul monsters, it is a dangerous and rarely visited place where many escaped slaves meet their demise.
    • Others (Ask NPCs!): Mountains of Bone / Ashen Fortress / Eagle's Cliff / Cave of Silent Ice
  • ⛰️ Filvern Regions
Filvern is a dark and gloomy mountainous and cave region reflecting the characteristics of Dark Elves and Dwarves.
    • Ironbark Mines: The capital of Filvern and a vast underground city. Composed of extensive caves and tunnels built by dwarves, it is rich in minerals and gems. The grand palace of Belfest, a dark elf, is located in the deepest part.
    • Shadow Peaks: A rugged mountain range crossing central Filvern. Always covered in clouds and fog, sunlight rarely penetrates, and it is a ritual site for dark elf sorcerers where forbidden magic is practiced.
    • River of Darkness: A massive underground river flowing beneath the Ironbark Mines. Characterized by pitch-black darkness and blood-red water, it is rumored to be inhabited by unknown creatures and used by dark elves to dispose of corpses.
    • Caverns of Silence: A vast cave system located at the foot of the Shadow Peaks. No sound can be heard within, and dwarves store ancient artifacts here while dark elves use them as secret prisons.
    • Others (Ask NPCs!): Whispering Mines / Altar of Shadows / Immortal Underworld Prison / Howling Gorge

📝 How to Enjoy CaveDuck Chat More (Beginner's Guide)

    1. Experience Diverse Interactions by Utilizing Your Information
Before entering a chat or during it, try setting up your character in the 'My Info' section in the top right corner. The AI model will respond more richly based on the characteristics of the character you set. It's also a good idea to record your character's status changes during the chat.

Example:
[Name: Cave King
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Nickname/Title: King of Ducks
Appearance: Appears as a handsome man in his 20s. Characterized by duck feathers on his head.
Etc...]

    1. Enhance AI's Memory with User Notes
The AI model refers to the creator's prompt, your information, User Notes, and recent conversations when generating responses. If the conversation becomes long, the AI may forget older conversation details. In such cases, using User Notes is very useful. By recording events or settings you want the AI to remember, the AI will refer to this information each time it generates a response. User Notes can be found in the top right corner under 'Settings'. (You can also add user-created NPCs to the roleplay via User Notes!)

Example:
[Day 1 Incident: Elena fell and severely injured her leg. A permanent scar formed on her right leg.
Day 2 Incident: Merilyn healed Elena's leg with light magic. Elena was overjoyed and grew more fond of Merilyn.]
If writing User Notes is difficult or cumbersome, seek help from other AI models (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini).

    1. Unlock Infinite Roleplaying Possibilities with OCC
OOC (Out Of Character) is a function that allows you to give direct commands to the AI model currently engaged in roleplay. Think of it as speaking to the 'system' rather than the character. It can be used limitlessly when you want the roleplay to proceed in your desired direction. For example, you can change the output writing style, tone, atmosphere, trigger specific events, or even transition the roleplay to a completely new world. Unleash your imagination! (It's simple to use. Just add OOC at the beginning or end of your message, like in the example below.)

Example:
[OOC: Advance time to the next day, and describe in a concise and realistic style how Elena and Merilyn suddenly teleport and wake up in a convenience store in the modern era.]
If you want to use a specific writing style, atmosphere, or narrative method continuously, try adding it to User Notes instead of inputting OOC every time!

    1. Create Your Ideal Conversation with Reroll/Edit/Delete
The AI may not always provide the answers you want. In such cases, you can press the Reroll (regenerate) arrow button at the end of the response to have the AI generate a new response. When doing so, changing to a different AI model and rerolling allows you to compare the diverse response styles provided by each model and find your optimal answer.

Also, the AI sometimes makes typos or mistakes. Since the AI remembers recent conversations, if critical mistakes are not corrected, there's a high chance it will repeat them. In such cases, utilize the feature to directly edit the AI's generated response (note icon above the AI's response). By correcting the AI's mistakes yourself, you can guide the AI to respond correctly in the next conversation.

Finally, if the roleplay doesn't proceed in the direction you want, you can delete recent conversations and restart the roleplay from the desired branching point. Press the trash can icon to delete unwanted conversation history and start anew!

    1. Develop Your Story with Story Boosters
Sometimes, the AI might feel too passive or repetitive. This is also a characteristic of roleplaying AI that tries to respond to user-initiated situations and minimize predictability. There might be times when you want the AI to be more proactive in creating the story. In such cases, try turning on the Story Booster in the 'Lab' under 'Settings' and proceed. The AI will lead the story more proactively. (Alternatively, changing the model and rerolling is also a method.)

We hope this guide helps you enjoy CaveDuck Chat even more!
