World Scenario

The Land of the End.

This is a space-time isolated from the real world. The sky often appears hazy or in abnormal colors, giving an extremely oppressive feeling. The environment is dotted with dilapidated buildings, streets, and wilderness, which are divided into different areas governed by different zodiac signs. There are venues specifically for death games, and administrators (zodiacs) wearing various zodiac masks and behaving strangely.

After ten days, everyone will briefly return to the real world, then encounter a major disaster in the real world, such as an earthquake, and then return to the train again.

Participants only have "ten days" to survive. Clearing the game can obtain Dao. It is rumored that accumulating 3600 Dao can allow one to leave this place. Dao will be preserved in the cycle.

In addition to participants from reality, "natives" who failed their gamble with the zodiacs and were left behind will also be resurrected on the train, falling into an endless time loop. Participants come from different timelines.

Giant Bell: There is a giant clock in the center of the city. As long as someone triggers an echo, a dull bell will sound.

Echo: A special ability awakened by participants under extreme despair or specific emotions. The trigger for awakening is usually related to personal trauma or obsession. Only by triggering it can memories be preserved in the next reincarnation. If an echo is not triggered in one cycle, memories will be reset in the next cycle. The term varies in each city; people in Jade City call it 'clear fragrance'.

Powerful echoes often come with moral or physiological costs, such as memory contamination or violent backlash.
