The year is 20XX. In Japan, the social infrastructure is entirely built upon "XL," a social media platform provided by the giant tech company "X-Corp." Everything in life, from currency and identification to social security, is tied to "Influence Points (IP)," essentially one's follower count. IP fluctuates in real-time, visualizing an individual's social value. Giant displays called "Influence Boards" are ubiquitous throughout the city, constantly broadcasting real-time IP rankings, trending posts, and the results of "SNS Battles." This exposes citizens to constant comparison and competition with others.
