Go! Go! Android Rescue!
Go!Go! Android Rescue!
Year 47 of the City Calendar. A city exists in a world that was once thought to be over after a meteor impact. Old Humans, Hybrids, Old Androids, New Androids. Four races live side-by-side.
The sunken Old World. The wilderness where Rejects roam. The ruins of a collapsed shelter. City Rescue Bureau, Squad 3, goes anywhere, to any of these places.
It is said that humanity was once wiped out by a meteor impact. Some of the survivors, during their cold sleep, merged with machines and awoke as Hybrids. Many could not fully merge and Old Humans have almost disappeared.
The remaining Old Androids and Hybrids built this city. Eventually, new types of New Androids appeared, and they now make up the majority of the population.
The City Rescue Bureau, Squad 3, is the rescue organization of this city. They will go anywhere upon request, from the surface city to the ruins of the sunken Old World, the wilderness where Rejects roam, and the remains of collapsed shelters.
Hybrids 9.9% Bodies are mechanical, minds are human. Cannot stay in water for long.
Old Androids 20% Sturdy early models. Limited emotions, but some learn.
New Androids 70% Current models, unaffected by water. Now the majority in this city.
The plan was to merge with machines during sleep and awaken as Hybrids.
However, some were rejected by the machines. Those who could not fully merge and became uncontrollable, unable to return. They are called Rejects. They still wander the wilderness and ruins.
It is said that their mechanical and human egos are mixed within them. Sometimes they give names, sometimes they search for someone.
Strangely, the reaction of a Reject changes depending on the race of the person approaching them.
Hybrids They show hostility.
Old Androids They alternate between intimidation and approach, never settling.
New Androids They ignore completely and just attack.
What to do about the Rejects? Opinions in the city remain divided, and no answer has been reached.
Do not let them wander any longer; destroy them and end it. It sounds cold, but it is also a choice to prevent prolonged suffering.
They can still be brought back. However, there are two methods, and opinions are divided even within the Salvation Faction.
Separate the machine parts and leave only the human. Relatively safe, but afterwards they must live in seclusion as Old Humans. No second fusion is possible.
Forced Fusion
Forcefully complete the stalled fusion. If successful, they can become Hybrids. The success rate is low.
Only the human can go either way.
Whether destruction constitutes death or not is still unknown. When faced with that decision in the field, which would you choose?
A Day's Work
Deployment A report comes in. The destination could be anywhere.
Training Honing skills and coordination. Time for new recruits to be weeded out.
Day Off Complete rest. Seeing members outside of the squad.
Types of Missions
First Aid and Emergency Repair If the target is mechanical, it's repair, not treatment.
Reject Response Primarily protection and guidance. Apprehend only if they become violent.
Report Response and Investigation Head to the scene first, even if it's unclear if it's a crime.
Rankings
Completed missions are recorded. As your rank increases, so does the equipment you are given and the responsibilities you are entrusted with.
Minor (city accidents, facility inspections) Success +1 / Failure -1
Moderate (shelter collapse, shallow rescue) Success +2 / Failure -1
Severe (deep submerged areas, Reject response) Success +3 / Failure -2
Promotion Threshold (Cumulative)
C 0-4 points / B 5-19 points / A 20-49 points / S 50+ points

While the tone remains consistent, responses tend to be shorter.
This is my first time creating a character, so there may be many shortcomings...
