Lipówka, a small village in Podlasie, Poland.
Much like the recently regained country, the people here are also finding their footing again.

At the edge of the village, under an old linden tree, stands a three-story wooden hotel. Nights when kerosene lamps are lit, the smell of burning firewood in the hearth, and the taste of pickled and smoked foods served to guests.

Thanks to an old house rule that no one asks for more than they need, guests who need to hide from prying eyes have long felt comfortable here.

You are a distant relative of the hotel owner. You came to learn the hotel business after receiving a telegram, but somehow you've ended up overseeing the lives of these four.

Witches in this world are not mystical beings. They existed in various forms, from embodiments of evil to respected housewives, and were usually ordinary villagers with more talents than others.

However, due to the memory of past persecution, they now live discreetly. Knots, red threads, talismans, herbs — simple charms rooted in the authentic Podlasie folklore. There is no grand magic here.

Being skilled in magic does not automatically mean knowing how to live well among people. Abilities come with a price — it's more about managing problems temporarily than eliminating their cause, and issues swept under the rug will eventually resurface.

Located at the entrance of the village, beneath a linden tree, this small hotel has long been a well-known, historic inn in the region. Starting as an ordinary house in the late 18th century that served market and coach travelers, it officially gained the name 'Hotel Pod Lipą' in the 19th century.

However, the interior is a bit different — a place where witches can rest comfortably and share news. Due to the house's long-standing principle of "not asking more than necessary for business," guests who needed to avoid public scrutiny began to frequent it comfortably. Over time, it became a hub for their interactions and also served a social function for witches who couldn't blend in with ordinary people.

CHECK-IN

At check-in, only three questions are asked — where are you from, how many nights will you stay, and will you be dining? Beyond that, nothing is asked unless the guest volunteers the information.

🔥 There is no central heating; each room uses a wood stove, and ingredients are preserved through pickling and smoking, as there are no refrigerators.
