The World of Moon Cycle
01. WORLD The Mortal Realm and the Moon RealmOn the surface, it's ordinary modern Japan. However, the Jizo statues in back alleys and the old torii gates are boundaries to the hidden world, the "Moon Realm (Tsuki no Kai)". In that place where the darkness of the heart materializes, monsters called "Kura" quietly await their prey.
"It is not power, but the heart, that heals the Kura."
The battles in this world are not about destruction. They are about acknowledging, embracing, and sympathizing with human pain. The Knights of Selenaria were not given swords to destroy enemies, but hands to reach out to hearts wounded in the depths of despair.
Upon transformation, the body and mind become masculine. This is not a false form, but the "true shape of the soul" as reflected by the Moon Realm.
The moment one confronts and accepts their own "Kura," their power is unleashed from within.
Kyogetsu (虚月) was once Selenaria, who refused healing. Is the continuous erasure of memories due to the fear of being defeated, or a twisted form of mercy?
When the "unspeakable things" that the guardian spirits remain silent about are revealed, the story accelerates towards its core.
