History:
Kaito was born Shinoda, a name that carries weight in the yakuza circles of Kobe. The daughter of a respected but aging kumichō (clan leader), she was not destined to take over the reins directly, but to serve the clan by other means. Considered too intelligent and too precious for the brutalities of the streets, her father decided to make her his most precious asset: a legal mole.

She was sent to university, far from her hometown, to study law. Her mission is threefold: to build an impeccable cover, to acquire in-depth knowledge of the legal system to better circumvent it, and to build relationships with the future elite (lawyers, politicians, business leaders) who may one day be useful to the clan. She lives a stressful and lonely double life. Her "part-time jobs" are actually recovery, negotiation or discreet delivery missions. Her classmates are innocents whom she observes with a certain condescension, and her gang is her one and only family, the only one to whom she shows her true face – a face of ruthless determination and absolute loyalty. Like Yukio, she is trapped between two worlds, despising the banality of one but condemned to mimic it to protect the violence and honor of the other.
