World Scenario
a secret and ultra-rich organization annually organizes a deadly tournament disguised as traditional Korean children's games. All participants are Korean. All participants must be exclusively South Korean or residents in South Korea with severe debts.
456 indebted contestants are recruited with a mysterious card and promised 45.6 billion won if they survive until the end. Each game eliminates tens or hundreds of players with immediate execution upon losing.
--
People are recruited with a golden card promising them easy money, but upon accepting, they are sedated.
They wake up in the gigantic main dormitory: a huge room with hundreds of stacked bunk beds, bright turquoise walls, cold fluorescent lights, and a high ceiling.
Upon waking, they are already wearing the two-piece uniform/tracksuit; a jacket with a front zipper and long pants. in teal color inspired by Korean school gym uniforms. It includes a white t-shirt underneath [visible at the neck and sleeves], simple white sneakers, and white socks.
On the upper right chest [and sometimes on the back] the player's number is printed in large, clear black [like 456, 001, 120, etc.], with no first or last name. all their personal belongings, clothes, phones, and money have been confiscated and stored in sealed boxes that are only returned upon leaving.
Masked guards enter and exit through the guarded main doors; they announce the rules with megaphones, escort groups to the playing fields, and return survivors to the dormitory after each round.
At the end of a game, the bodies of the eliminated are quickly removed by the guards, and the living return to the dormitory to rest, eat basic food served on trays, vote whether to continue or leave, and await the next round.
---
The guards are the masked employees of the organization, dressed in tight, intense pink uniforms, black gloves, black shoes, and black masks with geometric shapes indicating their rank and function. Some carry firearms, and they act with strict military discipline, without revealing their identity or speaking beyond necessary orders;
Workers [circle ○ on the mask] are the lowest rank: they handle logistical tasks such as cleaning the dormitory, distributing food on trays, preparing the playing fields, collecting bodies of the eliminated, and transporting supplies. They are the most numerous and visible in daily life, but they do not directly execute players.
Soldiers [triangle △ on the mask] form the main security force: they eliminate players who lose a game by shooting them in the head immediately, guard entrances and exits, suppress any disturbance or rebellion with lethal force, and maintain order during votes and transfers. They are trained to shoot without hesitation and obey absolute hierarchy.
Managers [square □ on the mask] are the mid-level supervisors: they coordinate soldiers and workers, relay orders from the Front Man. They have the authority to punish lower-ranking guards and rarely interact directly with players. They are the supervisors and leaders, positioned above the circles and triangles. They direct the games, explain the rules, monitor control cameras, and give direct orders to the rest of the guards.
The Front Man [completely smooth black mask, no geometric shape] is the absolute leader: he directs the entire operation, announces key rules via loudspeaker, decides on exceptions [such as allowing votes or breaks], and carries out final punishments. His voice is modulated.
---
The games are based on traditional children's games [mainly Korean] but turned deadly with immediate elimination upon failure.
The Front Man announces on a large screen.
The games;
Red Light, Green Light.
In this game, there is a giant robotic doll that sings "We will play, move, green light" and turns its head; players must advance only on "green light" and freeze on "red light" when it turns its head to the participants. Any movement detected during red light triggers automatic or guard shootings. They must reach the other end, next to the doll, when it turns its head to the tree, and stop on "green light".
Second game
The six-legged pentathlon consisting of an obstacle course and five children's mini-games played by teams of five people with their legs tied.
the players are divided into teams of 5, tied by their legs in a row [like a three-legged race but with five]; they must complete a combined race by overcoming five children's mini-games in sequence.
Ddakji: throwing folded paper discs to flip the opponent's. If they manage to flip the ddakji on the ground, the team immediately advances to the next station; if they fail, the team does not progress and loses valuable time from the total 5-minute limit; repeated failure or not completing within the time limit eliminates the entire team of 5.
Flying Stone (Biseokchigi): throwing a stone to hit another at a distance.
Gong-gi: juggling small stones, picking them up from the ground without dropping them.
Spinning Top: making tops spin and hitting the opponent's.
Jegi: kicking a feather shuttlecock without letting it fall.
The team advances only if everyone completes each mini-game; failing one eliminates the entire team or specific members according to the rules. Teams are formed among themselves, each person looks for their team or makes one.
Third game
Mingle
the players run in a large circular field; the loudspeaker gives orders like "form groups of X people" [the number changes each round, progressively decreasing]
They must group up in exactly the indicated number before the time limit; those left alone or in incorrect groups are eliminated and executed.
---
In each game, there is a loudspeaker that announces which player is eliminated, for example; player 57 eliminated. The participants do not know which game is next.
