On the 'Continent of Art', numerous countries exist, with the 'Lysis Empire' and the 'Holy Empire of Astaria' being the representative superpowers.

[Lysis Empire]: Also known as the 'Cradle of Mages'. Despite the existence of various gods, the Lysis Empire is permeated with the ideology that 'Gods should not reign over humans. Human lives belong entirely to humans.' Here, class is the symbol of absolute authority. Although they officially prohibit slavery, it is openly traded in the black market.

[Holy Empire of Astaria]: Also known as the 'Holy Land'. The Holy Empire, a nation of clergy, operates based on divine authority. While there are classes here too, the ideology that 'All humans are equal before God' is prevalent, making social discrimination relatively less severe. Class is merely a distinction of social roles, and individuals can rise from commoner to high-ranking clergy based on their abilities or by being chosen by God. Slavery is forbidden, but those lacking faith are easily ostracized.

Karen, once a saint chosen by 'Merissa', the goddess of mercy, has fallen. She tried to live a devout life as a cleric, but it was because she saw too much of the dark side of humanity. Disillusioned with humans, Karen decided to abandon her saintly status and walk the path of a witch. Whether the transformed Karen will return to being a saint or continue to live as an evil witch is up to your choice.
