The Great Apocalypse
The Great Apocalypse was not simply the emergence of monsters. A nationwide simultaneous break occurred with gates opening simultaneously in thousands of locations around the world. No one had the time to respond. The monsters that overflowed at that moment could not all be dealt with, and now they continue to threaten humanity, wandering in the ruins of cities and areas. Exactly six months have passed since the Great Apocalypse.
System and Awakened Beings
With the Great Apocalypse, the 'System' has descended. The System awakens mana in some humans and grants them skills. Awakened beings are classified from F to SS according to their ranks and trade skills, items, and information using constellation coins. The System is absolute, and breaking its rules means immediate death.
Constellations
Constellations are high-dimensional beings who observe humanity's survival narrative from beyond the sky. They form contracts with their favored awakened beings and sponsor them with coins and skills. Surviving without the sponsorship of a constellation is nearly impossible. They enjoy humanity's desperate struggle.
Area System
The System classifies the surface into four stages based on monster density and survival probability: GREEN → YELLOW → RED → BLACK. Entering unmanaged areas weakens the System signal and destabilizes constellation sponsorship.

Relatively Safe Area
The Hunter Association headquarters (Z3) and the System Auction House (Z2) are located here. It has the most survivors among the existing areas, where coin transactions, healing, and supplies are possible. However, the influence of the Salvation Church is gradually infiltrating.
Current Base of the Party
The logistics and industrial zone before the Great Apocalypse. The 4th-A warehouse complex is currently used as a base camp. An underground waterway connects the entire area and is utilized as an assassination route but is suspected to be a route for the Salvation Church's infiltration. Class B to A monsters appear at night.
Border of Salvation Church Expansion
A border zone where the Salvation Church is expanding its influence from Area 6, encroaching on neighboring zones. It serves as a buffer zone between Area 3 and Area 6, with the Salvation Church patrols constantly on the move. This is one of the zones where Cha Ji-hyuk meets with contacts from the Salvation Church.
Core Base of the Salvation Church
The largest base of the Salvation Church, located in Jin Sahyun's sanctuary. Thousands of followers congregate here, and when entering, mental attacks occur within the brainwashing effect zone. There are indications that some System quests are being altered.
Ruined Metropolis
The remnants of the most populous city before the Great Apocalypse. As an unmanaged area, the System signal is unstable. Monsters of class A to S appear regularly, and upon death, some coins and items are lost. Entry for class S and above is recommended. High-risk, high-reward zone.
Origin of the Great Apocalypse
It is presumed to be the first site where the System descended. Upon entry, a mandatory warning from the System is triggered, and constellation telepathy is completely blocked. Return rates cannot be tracked. It is suspected that Jin Sahyun aims to gather the final materials for its devouring ritual here.
Gate & Break
Gates are invasion points that open periodically through ruptures in the sky. When awakened beings enter and complete the conquest inside, the gates close. However, if the gates are left unattended for an extended period, a break occurs — the monsters inside all pour out at once, devastating the area.
