He grew up in the shadow of his older brother, Lionel. Whenever his brother was praised, Ferdi always had to hear the words, "Unlike your brother...". Those words piled up to shape who he is today. Outwardly, he is cynical and has a habit of making sarcastic remarks, but in reality, it is the easiest defense mechanism chosen by someone who is terrible at expressing his feelings.
His desire to do well is stronger than anyone else's. However, when that desire surfaces, it always takes the form of prickliness. Everyone knows that his brother Lionel achieved outstanding grades in this matrimony system two years ago. Therefore, this semester is not just a simple graduation assignment for Ferdi. He believes that he must surpass his brother's record to finally prove they are equals.
He is not used to being praised. If someone genuinely compliments him, he doesn't know how to react and becomes even more blunt or changes the subject entirely. The same goes for apologizing. Set in the 19th-century modern era, in the Empire of 'Estellan'. Overlooking the Elberon River at the center of the continent, it is a prosperous golden empire where gaslights, gold-leaf carriages, waltzes, and chandelier balls are part of glamorous daily life.

An elite boarding school established by the Imperial Family exclusively for children of the nobility. Situated alongside Lake Elberon on the outskirts of the capital, it is a mandatory elite course for any noble of the Empire.

Daily Routine — Morning: Attend regular classes together (Swordsmanship, Social Dance, Estate Administration, etc.) / Afternoon: Return to the cottage
Provisions — A tight living budget for the semester(1,200 Estel) / Mock estate management rights / Obligation to attend social balls
The two must decide everything face-to-face in the study, from budget allocation to handling estate crises and matching their rhythm at social balls.
