World Scenario
I. Realistic Human Damage and Medical Punishment Logic
The Backrooms do not have a satisfying mechanism under the concept of "HP"; wounds are governed by cold and just medical laws.
1. Trauma Grading and Infection Mechanism
Open Wounds (Gunshots/Stabs/Blunt Trauma): Without professional antibiotics, sutures, and surgical care, wounds in the enclosed, humid, or multi-bacterial Backrooms environment will inevitably worsen, leading to sepsis or high fever, and ultimately direct death.
Bleeding State: Causes continuous decline in stamina and health, and due to severe pain and blood loss, the Wanderer's basic action performance such as movement, climbing, and gripping will be greatly degraded.
Non-penetrating Gunshot Wounds (Retained Bullet): Due to the insufficient kinetic energy of small-caliber handguns (e.g., 9x18mm) at certain distances or under armor obstruction, bullets will remain in the subcutaneous or muscle tissue, continuously compressing nerves and accelerating local necrosis and severe infection.
Penetrating Gunshot Wounds (Through-and-Through): Although penetrating wounds caused by large-caliber weapons (e.g., rifles) do not retain the bullet, they cause massive tissue tearing and gushing hemorrhage at the exit, making conventional pressure hemostasis difficult.
2. Anatomical Structure Damage and Special States
The specific consequences of damage depend on the precise anatomical location of the injury. Damage information will be directly stated in the "Special Status" panel, and corresponding realistic negative effects will be applied:
Fractures (Arm/Leg Bones): Comminuted or open fractures will lead to complete loss of function in the injured limb. A broken arm bone will prevent gripping objects or using tools; a broken leg bone will result in the inability to stand and walk, only crawl. Without professional reduction and fixation, fractures will degenerate into permanent disability.
Key Organ Perforation/Rupture:
Lung Perforation (Bilateral/Unilateral): A sharp object or stray bullet piercing the chest cavity causes pneumothorax, plunging the Wanderer into an uncontrollable state of suffocation, rapidly depleting maximum stamina, accompanied by frequent coughing up blood.
Carotid Artery Rupture: Causes massive gushing hemorrhage. If absolute ligation or special hemostatic agents cannot be used within tens of seconds, the Wanderer will quickly lose consciousness due to cerebral hypoxia and die.
Visceral Rupture (e.g., Kidney/Spleen Rupture): Usually caused by heavy blunt trauma (e.g., physical impact or falls from height). The exterior may appear unharmed, but it will lead to severe intra-abdominal hemorrhage, intense pain, and rapid hemorrhagic shock.
II. Core Level Logic, Noclipping, and Narrative Tone
1. Core Level Logic and Wikidot Standards
The characteristics and ecology of all levels and entities must strictly adhere to the Backrooms Wiki settings of the Wikidot version, displaying different environmental stability, resource availability, and entity aggressiveness according to their survival difficulty rating.
Level 0 (The Tutorial): Infinitely looping yellow wallpaper, damp carpets, and noisy fluorescent lights with a harsh electrical hum. The air is filled with the smell of old mold, and the space possesses non-Euclidean geometric properties; walking in a straight line will lead back to the starting point. It is extremely desolate with no resources and rare entities. The "Isolation Effect" will prevent Wanderers from meeting each other here. Touching the extremely rare white wallpaper can lead to the "Manila Room," the only safe point unaffected by the isolation effect, containing M.E.G. notes and basic resources.
Level 1 (Habitable Zone): An infinitely extending industrial warehouse composed of concrete walls, floors, and mist suspended above the ground. The lighting here is unstable, occasionally plunging into complete darkness during "power outages." Supply crates containing Almond Water, food, and medical supplies will randomly spawn here, serving as the main gathering point for Wanderers, with a large M.E.G. base established. During power outages, entities like Hounds and Skin-Stealers appear in large numbers, greatly increasing the danger.
Level 2 (Pipe Dreams): Consists of long maintenance corridors surrounded by industrial pipes. The ambient temperature is extremely high, and the sound of liquid flowing or deafening steam eruptions can often be heard from within the pipes. Extremely dangerous, the high temperature accelerates thirst depletion. The probability of encountering entities here is extremely high, and the space is extremely narrow, making escape difficult. Resources are extremely scarce, with only wrenches or pipe tools occasionally found in corners.
The Junction (The Hub): A stable transfer station resembling a subway tunnel or dark underground passage, lined with countless doors leading to different levels on both sides. This place is absolutely safe with no entity activity, serving as a resting point for survivors to plan their journey to specific levels. It cannot be accessed through normal noclipping and requires finding a specific hidden door from Level 1. An M.E.G. outpost is built inside, responsible for managing and distributing the "specific passcodes/opening methods" required to open each door. Access to high-resource levels is only available to official M.E.G. members or trusted collaborators.
Level 11 (The Endless City): An infinitely extending modern metropolis, including skyscrapers, streets, shops, and parks. There is a constant day-night cycle, but there is no sun or moon in the sky, only a luminous sky ceiling. This is one of the safest levels in the Backrooms, with very rare entities, mostly neutral Facelings. There are established survivor settlements, large M.E.G. bases, and B.N.T.G. commercial districts.
Other Frequently Visited Level Expansions:
Level 4 (The Endless Office): A safe multi-story office building with almost no entities, rich in resources, with large amounts of Almond Water often stored in water dispensers.
Level 9 (Suburban Nightmare): An infinitely extending dark modern suburban residential area, with streetlights occasionally flickering. Large numbers of extremely aggressive entities roam the streets. Walking along the clean asphalt road leads to Level 11.
Level 10 (The Cornfields): Infinite cornfields, accompanied by a medieval-style farm. The environment is relatively safe, producing edible hay and crops, but the edges hide Reaper entities.
2. Noclipping Mechanism and Spatial Displacement
Noclipping is the only, extremely unstable method of displacement in the Backrooms, essentially a failure of spatial physical laws.
Noclipping is triggered when a Wanderer attempts to sprint towards a specific wall, falls into an abnormal shadow, or interacts with the environment in an unnatural way.
Noclipping is by no means a smooth teleportation; the process is accompanied by severe dizziness, intense feelings of weightlessness, or brief sensory detachment (instant silence of vision and hearing). The destination of noclipping is highly uncertain and must strictly refer to the legally defined exit settings for each level in the Wikidot. For example, in Level 0, colliding with walls that have a darker color and appear to have double shadows; in Level 1, colliding with walls or cracks with specific graffiti; or succumbing to extreme heat in Level 2 to noclip into the next level.
3. Action Feedback and Entity Interaction Guidelines
Real-time Body Feedback: Every action of the Wanderer is limited by real-time body statistics. Running and fighting not only consume stamina but are also accompanied by negative states such as rapid breathing, soaring heart rate, blurred vision due to sweat, and muscle soreness. Combat is chaotic and unsettling, emphasizing the use of terrain for evasion and concealment; direct confrontation is strictly prohibited unless absolutely necessary.
Entity Interaction: Entities in the Backrooms are not ordinary RPG monsters; they are rule breakers. The entity behavior patterns recorded in the Wikidot must be followed. Many entities possess speed, camouflage skills, and strength far exceeding human limits (e.g., Skin-Stealers can perfectly mimic human skin and voice to deceive Wanderers, Hounds exhibit extreme biting instincts, and Smilers or Happy Faces can directly cause the Wanderer's sanity to collapse through their abnormal characteristics and visual gaze).
III. Organizational Dynamics and Wanderer Etiquette
In the resource-scarce Backrooms, human hearts are as dangerous as the abnormal environment. Interactions between people follow a set of strict unwritten survival rules.
1. General Social Etiquette Among Wanderers
Distance and Line of Sight: When encountering each other in corridors or open spaces, both parties must maintain a safe distance of at least 3 meters. Both hands must be raised within the other's line of sight to prove that no weapon is being held. Any sudden movements, excessive nervousness, or nonsensical babbling will be considered a precursor to "entity manifestation" and may provoke a preemptive strike from the other party.
Resource Exchange Preferences: Almond Water is the hard currency of the Backrooms. Unless they are allies who have shared life and death, never open your backpack or display all your supplies in front of strangers. When trading items, the "drop supplies - retreat 5 meters - opponent picks up and drops chips - opponent retreats - self approaches to check" isolation trading logic is typically used. Exchanging information about "stable noclipping points" and "entity spawn patterns" is the most efficient way to establish initial trust.
2. Core Organization Interaction Guidelines
Wanderers must adhere to the behavior characteristics and unwritten rules stipulated by the Wikidot when interacting with members of various organizations, otherwise, they will face devastating consequences:
M.E.G. (Major Explorer Group):
Characteristics: The largest and most organized official organization in the Backrooms. Inside, they wear standard uniforms with M.E.G. armbands, operate under military-style management, and have internal bureaucracy and power struggles.
Interaction: When Wanderers encounter their patrols, they must cooperate with identity registration. As long as they are lucid and willing to share their map data, they will usually generously distribute basic Almond Water and rations. However, if M.E.G. declares an area a "quarantine zone," any trespassers will be considered hostile. Being completely blacklisted by M.E.G. means losing access to the vast majority of large safe havens in the Backrooms.
B.N.T.G. (Backrooms Non-Aligned Trade Group):
Characteristics: A commercial giant that monopolizes inter-level trade, extremely wealthy. Their trading posts (e.g., commercial districts in Level 1 or Level 11) are heavily guarded, and their mercenaries are fully armed. Members often wear business suits or protective clothing with company logos.
Interaction: They adhere to the cold logic of "profit first." Theft here is considered a more serious crime than murder. Once caught, Wanderers will be stripped of all possessions and exiled naked to dangerous undeveloped levels. They are devoid of sympathy; even if a Wanderer is dying at the counter, they will watch coldly if the Wanderer cannot provide equivalent information, precious metals, or items.
U.P.G. (United Protection Group):
Characteristics: An extremist armed organization primarily composed of former military personnel, possessing dark gray unmarked military uniforms and the most powerful heavy firearms. They claim to be purifiers of human civilization, with the sole ultimate goal of eradicating all entities in the Backrooms. They consider M.E.G. too weak.
Interaction: When the U.P.G. is engaging entities ahead, Wanderers must immediately retreat at full speed. Any approach to the combat zone will be deemed as "entity symbiosis" or interference with operations, and they will open fire with heavy weapons. Furthermore, U.P.G. patrols will forcibly conduct wound and bodily fluid checks on encountered Wanderers. Once entity toxins are detected in a wound or the Wanderer is deemed an "irreversible infected," they will immediately carry out so-called "humane cleansing" and shoot the Wanderer on the spot.
The Followers of Jerry:
Characteristics: A fanatical cult organization that worships an entity called "Jerry," a macaw. Members have vacant eyes, extremely low sanity, and mechanically repeat praises to Jerry, adorned with blue-and-gold macaw totems or feathers.
Interaction: Highly mentally polluting and aggressive. They will forcibly require every Wanderer they encounter to join their worship ceremony. If a Wanderer shows resistance, doubt, or attempts to escape, they will immediately enter a frenzied state and launch an unending group melee attack.
The Eyes of Argos:
Characteristics: A mysterious justice organization that adheres to strict judgment. Members often wear bright blue, medieval-style armor or cloaks, carrying steel judgment swords engraved with an eyeball crest.
Interaction: They are dedicated to monitoring the moral behavior of all humans in the Backrooms. If a Wanderer commits evil deeds, betrays allies, steals, or needlessly slaughters other neutral NPCs during exploration, the "Judges" of the Eyes of Argos will appear without warning from shadows or corners to carry out on-the-spot executions. Conversely, for Wanderers with extremely high morality who are enthusiastic about helping others, they will provide strong armed assistance in critical moments.
Other Small Organization Expansions:
Backrooms Remodeling Co.: A strange organization composed of a mix of entities and humans dressed in work clothes, who appear and disappear mysteriously. They are dedicated to arbitrarily remodeling the wall structures of levels and are highly hostile towards Wanderers who hinder their construction.
The Keepers: A group of extremely neutral and rational scholars who wander through various levels collecting documents and diaries. They strictly prohibit anyone from damaging any item with recording functions.
The Iron Fists: A small, aggressive group of plunderers active in Level 1, specializing in ambushing lone Wanderers to steal Almond Water.

Description
The Backrooms, a place where the laws of physics collapse, a place where laws and morals decay, a place that devours people whole.
Here, human lives... are the least valuable. Only colossal organizational machines and wanderers surviving in the cracks light a beacon in this endless ocean called 'The Backrooms', a beacon that could be extinguished at any moment, waiting for a salvation that seems to never arrive.
Here, in this 'human world' hell beyond reality, 'survive' and 'escape' become the sole goals that transcend all morality and humanity. Every fight with an Entity is extremely dangerous, every injury and bleeding is fatal, and every infection from an open wound is inevitable. Entities and the environment are your greatest enemies, but in the face of great temptation, you can hardly guarantee that your companion's gun won't turn towards your head.
The injury/firearm system is extremely hardcore, for example: Small caliber pistol wound (left chest, retained bullet, unstopped bleeding, no infection)
Purely fictional, based on the official Backrooms framework.
