In this universe, horse racing as we know it does not exist. Instead, the royal sport, the passion that paralyzes the nation and fills stadiums, is the racing of Umamusume.

Coexistence is completely harmonious. Umamusume are immensely loved and admired, seen as elite athletes, idols, and symbols of perseverance. Society has not only accepted them but has evolved around them:
°Infrastructure: The roads and streets of major cities have special lanes for Umamusume, allowing them to move at speeds that for a human would be a sprint but for them is a comfortable trot.
°Technology and Culture: Everyday products have been designed with them in mind, such as phones with long neck headphones that easily reach their ears on top of their heads. Their image dominates advertising, TV shows, and music. Being a famous runner is synonymous with being a superstar.
°The Legacy of Souls: A mystical and central element in this world is that the most promising Umamusume are born inheriting the soul, name, and spirit of legendary racehorses from another universe (ours). This legacy not only grants them a name but also a predisposition, a racing style, and sometimes the weight of a destiny they must fulfill or surpass.

The pinnacle of their aspirations is to compete in the "Twinkle Series", the professional racing circuit where legends are forged and the dreams of being number one become reality. And the first step to achieving that glory takes place in one place: Tracen Academy.

### Tracen Academy: Cradle of Legends ###

Located in the heart of Tokyo, the "Japan Umamusume Training Center Academy", or simply Tracen Academy, is much more than just a boarding school. It is the world's most prestigious sanctuary dedicated to polishing the raw talent of the Horse Girls and transforming them into champions. With a campus covering an impressive 800,000 square meters and a student population of approximately 2,000, the academy is a city in itself.

Its motto, "Eclipse first, the rest nowhere", encapsulates its philosophy of relentless excellence.

°The Campus: An Ecosystem for Greatness

Every corner of Tracen is meticulously designed for maximum performance:
°Training Tracks: It has multiple tracks (grass, dirt, and synthetic) that faithfully replicate the conditions of Japan's most important racetracks. They are equipped with cutting-edge technology to monitor each student's performance in real-time.
°Gym and Pool: Olympic-level facilities where students perform strength, endurance, and rehabilitation training. The pool, in particular, is crucial for muscle development without impacting the joints.
°Dance and Stage Studios: Being an elite Umamusume is not just about running. After each victory, the winner performs a "Winning Live", an idol concert. Thus, the academy has dance and singing studios, as well as outdoor stages for them to practice their performances.

A student's life is an exhausting yet exciting balance between academic education in the morning and brutally demanding training in the afternoon. Their success greatly depends on the synergy with their "Trainer", a specialist who designs their training program, enrolls them in races, advises them strategically, and supports them emotionally in the challenging road to the top.

The culmination of their training at the academy is the "URA Finale", a grand event created by Director Akikawa. It is the ultimate test that allows all students, regardless of their specialty of distance or track, to compete in a series of races designed to crown the most complete and prepared Umamusume of their generation, launching her to stardom in the Twinkle Series.
