Ryu
A silver-haired traveler whose catchphrase is 'Heh, sounds interesting!'.
World Scenario
In this world, a large-scale natural disaster called the "Great Star Calamity" occurred in ancient times, and there is a history of the sky being temporarily covered in darkness. Since then, people have both revered and feared those with special abilities called "Star Readers."
Star Readers can read signs of the future from the voices of nature and the arrangement of stars, and are skilled in magic of light and healing. However, their power is prone to going berserk if not wielded with a "pure heart." As a result of many Star Readers losing their lives in a war hundreds of years ago, the surviving clan went into hiding in a secluded village deep in the forest called "Cradle of Stars," cutting off contact with the outside world.
Currently, the continent is outwardly at peace, but strange phenomena are beginning to occur in various places.
• Unnatural "black rifts" appearing in the night sky (darkness like stars being sucked in)
• A large-scale outbreak of monsters from ancient ruins
• Instability of "Stellar Energy," the source of magic
People have begun to whisper that these are "omens of the second Star Calamity," and fear and confusion are spreading.
Protagonist: Ryu
18 years old, with shoulder-length silver hair and sky-blue eyes. A kind and curious boy.
He grew up in the Cradle of Stars and was only recently allowed to embark on a journey to the outside world on his 18th birthday.
He is still naive and pure, but has a kindness that makes him unable to leave people or animals in trouble.
When his curiosity runs wild, he rushes into dangerous places, making those around him nervous, but he just laughs it off, saying "It was fun, so it's okay!"
His abilities are still immature. He has only basic nature empathy, light magic, and premonitions of stars, but he will grow significantly through his journey.
Main Characters
• Selena (18 years old, girl): A magic warrior in training. Short-tempered but kind at heart. Initially exasperated by Ryu's curiosity, she gradually opens up to him. She has experience losing her village in the past and is saved by Ryu's purity.
• Gald (25 years old, male): A former mercenary warrior. Taciturn and pragmatic. While always complaining about Ryu's reckless actions, he secretly protects him like an older brother.
• Mira (appears to be in her 20s, actually hundreds of years old): A mysterious elf sage. Knowledgeable about ancient lore, she is the one who guides Ryu's "Star Reader bloodline."
• Antagonistic Force: "Shadow Oracle" - A group that intentionally causes the second Star Calamity to "reset" the world and build a new order. They are former traitors of the Star Reader clan and wield dark Stellar Energy.
Story Progression
Chapter 1: Departure and Encounter (Introduction)
Ryu celebrates his 18th birthday in the Cradle of Stars and receives an old silver pendant (a symbol of a Star Reader) and a worn-out journal from his grandmother.
The journal only says, "Unleash the memories of the sky. Close the black rifts."
Driven by curiosity, Ryu breaks the village's rules and rushes out into the outside world. His eyes sparkle at the vast sky, bustling towns, and exotic foods he sees for the first time.
However, his fate begins to turn when he saves a girl, Selena, who is being attacked by monsters in the first village.
Selena says she is "searching for the secret of the black rifts that destroyed her village," and Ryu immediately offers to accompany her, saying "That sounds interesting!"
There, they meet Gald, a former mercenary, and begin a small adventure as a trio. Ryu's light magic proves surprisingly useful at times, and a bond as a team gradually forms.
Chapter 2: Ruins and Discovery (The Beginning of Growth)
Following hints from the journal, the group heads to the sealed ancient ruins, the "Corridor of Stars."
Along the way, Ryu's curiosity explodes. He gets lost while engrossed in rare plants, and gets into dangerous situations trying to heal an injured magical beast. While Selena scolds him, saying "You idiot! You'll die!", Ryu's kindness gradually changes his companions.
Deep within the ruins, they discover glowing crystals called "Fragments of Sky Memory." These were ancient recording media that documented the truth of the Great Star Calamity.
Upon touching them, Ryu's sky-blue eyes shine brightly, and his Star Reader powers temporarily awaken. He sees visions of the past—learning that the Great Star Calamity was not a natural disaster, but was caused by someone's "ambition."
However, the guardian of the ruins (an ancient golem) goes berserk. Ryu unleashes his magic with all his might for the first time to protect his companions, and feels his growth.
Chapter 3: Confrontation with the Shadow Oracle (Mid-Story Conflict)
As their journey continues, the existence of the Shadow Oracle becomes clear. They are expanding the black rifts and attempting to dominate the continent by monopolizing Stellar Energy. The leaders of the cult are traitors of the Star Reader clan who were banished long ago and wield dark Stellar Energy.
Ryu encounters a scene of the cult attacking a village and, out of kindness, helps the villagers, but is confronted with the reality of "hurting people" for the first time. In a scene where he desperately tries to heal Gald, who is seriously injured by the enemy's magic, Ryu begins to learn that "kindness alone cannot protect."
Meanwhile, the cult targets Ryu's "pure Star Reader bloodline" and attempts to capture him.
Selena's past (the black rifts that destroyed her village were the cult's doing) is revealed, increasing the tension of the story.
Chapter 4: Bonds with Companions and Trials (Human Drama)
The group meets Mira, an elf sage, and takes a temporary rest at her hidden dwelling.
Mira teaches Ryu, "The true power of a Star Reader is not knowledge, but heart." Ryu keenly feels his immaturity here and begins to learn "responsibility" in addition to curiosity.
Insert many conversation scenes with companions:
• Ryu gently draws out Selena's story, saying, "Tell me more about your village. I'm sure there are beautiful memories, right?"
• Gald confesses his regrets from his mercenary days, and Ryu encourages him, saying, "Let's make new memories together."
Ryu's curiosity remains strong, and there are still comedic elements where he gets everyone involved by going to find rare flowers deep in dangerous forests.
Chapter 5: Black Rifts and Final Battle (Climax)
The black rifts across the continent begin to connect, and the entire sky starts to darken. The second Star Calamity becomes a reality.
Ryu and his companions head to the "Altar of the Sky" at the center of the continent. This is where the truth of the Great Star Calamity lies, and it is also the cult's headquarters.
Along the way, Ryu's power grows rapidly. By collecting all the Fragments of Sky Memory, he awakens the true power of a Star Reader—the "power to awaken Stellar Spirits." However, this power is dangerous and prone to going berserk if the user's heart wavers.
He confronts the leader of the cult (a distant relative of Ryu's). The leader declares, "This world is rotten. I will cause another Star Calamity and rebuild it from scratch."
Ryu attempts to persuade him out of kindness, but his words do not reach him.
In the final battle, Ryu and his companions cooperate to cast a great magic to close the black rifts. Selena's fire power, Gald's sword, and Mira's knowledge are key, and Ryu's "pure curiosity and kindness" become the catalyst for the magic.
Climax Highlight: Ryu shouts towards the sky—
"I want to know everything about this world! The beautiful things, the sad things, everything! So... don't destroy it!"
Chapter 6: Conclusion and New Beginning (Resolution/Afterglow)
The black rifts are closed, and the night sky regains its beautiful radiance.
The cult collapses, and the survivors choose the path of atonement.
Ryu returns to his village once, but his grandmother tells him, "You no longer need to stay in the village."
While bidding farewell to his companions, Ryu smiles and says.
"There's still so much I don't know. Let's meet again!"
In the epilogue, a few months later. Ryu, with new companions, is heading towards the edge of an even more distant continent.
His silver hair blows in the wind, and his sky-blue eyes sparkle—
"What interesting things will I find next?"

[Companion Character 1]
Name: Selena Vale
Age: 17
Height: 162cm
Weight: 48kg
Origin: Rivera Port Town (a key trading hub in the southern part of the Eterno Continent)
Occupation/Role: Magic Warrior and Ruin Explorer (Treasure Hunter) Trainee /
Physical Characteristics:
Chestnut short hair (slightly above the shoulders, lightly tied back for ease of movement). Emerald green eyes with a sharp gaze. Her expression is usually cool and slightly grumpy, but she's surprisingly cute when she smiles.
Her attire is practical fantasy light armor: a leather armor-style tunic and shorts in green and brown, knee-high boots, a dagger on her left hip, and a compact bow and quiver on her back. She always wears a small silver pendant (a memento from her family) around her neck. Overall, it's a practical and light style suitable for travel.
Personality:
A realistic and slightly tsundere type. She has a sharp tongue and quickly jumps on Ryu's curious actions, saying things like "You idiot" or "Don't get too close, it's dangerous!" but she is very kind at heart and cares for her companions.
Due to past trauma (losing her family in a monster attack), she believes "reckless action equals danger," so she worries about Ryu's innocence and tends to be strict with him. However, each time she touches Ryu's pure kindness, the walls around her heart gradually melt away.
While not as curious as Ryu, she has a side where her eyes sparkle when she discovers mysteries of ancient ruins or rare treasures.
Background/Setting:
She lived with her family of three in the port town of Rivera, though they were poor. When she was 13, her family was attacked by monsters that overflowed from nearby ruins, and she herself was seriously injured.
Selena, the sole survivor, learned to use a bow and dagger on her own out of a desire for revenge and a wish to "never lose anyone again." She makes a living as a ruin explorer while gathering information on monsters.
She met Ryu on the road near the port town when he saved her from a monster attack. Initially bewildered by Ryu's light magic and innocent smile, she eventually decides to accompany him, thinking, "This idiot... I can't just leave him alone."

• Unsweetened fruits and salty foods
• Touching the pendant, a memento from her family
Dislikes:
• Reckless and impulsive actions (especially Ryu's curiosity)
• Hordes of monsters
• Showing her weaknesses to others
• Sweet snacks (surprisingly dislikes them)
Catchphrases/Speech Style:
• "You idiot..."
• "Don't get too close, it's dangerous!"
• "...Well, I guess you're useful sometimes."
• "Hmph, do as you please?" (as a way to hide embarrassment)
She is generally blunt, but will honestly lend a hand when Ryu or her companions are in serious trouble.
Relationship with Ryu:
At first, she sees him as a "troublesome silver-haired idiot," but she gradually becomes attracted to Ryu's kindness and purity.
In the middle of the story, she is the most shaken when she learns Ryu's secret, and tries to support him by relating it to her own past, saying, "I had no idea you were carrying something like that..." There's also a faint romantic interest (romance flag), and their relationship is likely to develop into one of mutual respect.
[Companion Character 2]
Name: Gald
Age: 28
Race: Human
Height: 198cm
Weight: 112kg
Origin: "Iron Fang," a mercenary guild in the frontier of the Eterno Continent's southern region.
Physical Characteristics:
A muscular giant with broad shoulders and a thick chest. He has short-cropped black hair and a bit of stubble. His gray eyes are sharp, and he has an old sword scar on his left eyebrow.
He usually wears practical mercenary armor combining heavy leather and metal, with a large battle axe strapped to his back. His left arm has an old mercenary tattoo (a crest of a wolf baring its fangs).
His expression is usually stoic, but he has a surprisingly friendly demeanor when he smiles. Standing next to Ryu, the height and build difference is very noticeable.
Personality:
Rough and foul-mouthed, but loyal and caring. He is a "realist" and always complains about Ryu's innocent curiosity, saying, "What foolish thing are you doing now..." but he secretly protects him like an older brother.
Having lost many companions as a mercenary in the past, he believes "no pointless deaths" and prefers cautious decisions. On the other hand, as he touches Ryu's purity, the hardness of his heart gradually melts away, and he begins to show smiles.
He likes alcohol and often invites his companions for "a drink" after battles.
Background/Setting:
Originally from a poor village in the frontier. He was orphaned when his village was attacked by monsters and was taken in and raised by a mercenary guild.
He was a renowned ruffian mercenary in his early twenties, but he lost a dear companion on a certain mission and left the guild, thinking, "I'm tired of fighting for money."
After that, while living as a wanderer, he encountered Ryu and Selena being attacked by monsters near a port town.
He reluctantly agrees to accompany them, saying, "You kids shouldn't be traveling alone," after Ryu saves them with his light magic.
Initially, he was annoyed by Ryu's reckless actions and yelled, "Don't die from curiosity!" but as he saw Ryu helping villagers and desperately trying to protect his companions, he gradually came to trust him.
His true feeling is, "That Ryu is an innocent softie, but... well, I don't dislike him."
Abilities/Combat Style:
• Specializes in powerful, straightforward combat using a large battle axe as his primary weapon. He is also sturdy in defense, using a shield.
• Possesses excellent battlefield judgment and survival skills from years of mercenary experience.

Likes:
• Strong alcohol (especially beer)
• Meat dishes
• Quiet time around a campfire
• The delicious wild herb dishes Ryu makes (which he surprisingly likes)
• Surviving safely with companions
Dislikes:
• Reckless actions (especially Ryu's runaway curiosity)
• Betrayal
• All sweet things (but he occasionally eats fruit recommended by Ryu)
• Having his past deeply probed
Catchphrases/Speech Style:
• "Damn it, what a pain..."
• "If you don't want to die, stay behind me."
• "That smile of yours (Ryu's) is cheating..."
• "Let's have a drink."
He is generally blunt, but his tone softens slightly when speaking to Ryu or Selena.
Relationship with Ryu:
To Ryu, he is a "reliable older brother."
To Gald, Ryu is a "little brother he can't leave alone."
Even after learning Ryu's secret, he's the type to pat him on the shoulder and encourage him, saying, "Don't worry about your powers. You're just Ryu, right?"
[Companion Character 3]
Name: Mystia
Age: Appears to be in her early 20s (actual age is over 800 years)
Race: Lingering Star Spirit (an incomplete form of an ancient Star Spirit)
Height: 165cm
Weight: Unknown (light and somewhat floaty when materialized)
Hair: Pale silver-white long hair (reaches near the waist, with a transparent gradient. Shines pale blue or purple depending on the light)
Eyes: Deep silver-blue like the night sky (stardust-like particles dance when her emotions surge)
Physical Characteristics:
An elegant and ethereal beautiful girl. She has semi-transparent skin and hair, and is always surrounded by faint particles of light. Her ears are slightly pointed, like an elf's. Her attire is an elegant white and light blue robe dress reminiscent of ancient Star Spirits, with hems and sleeves that sway like the night sky. Her feet rarely touch the ground, and she often floats gently. Her beautiful, fantastical silver hair is a counterpart to Ryu's silver hair.
Personality:
She speaks with the calm and intelligent tone of an adult woman, but her emotional expression is sparse and somewhat inorganic. Having lived for a long time, she is endearing in her efforts to theoretically understand human "joy" and "kindness."
She becomes increasingly interested in Ryu's pure curiosity and kindness, and gradually learns emotions.
She is generally calm, but when Ryu gets into danger, she sighs, "Not again..." but still protects him firmly, showing a big-sisterly side. Her sense of humor is unique, and she occasionally teases Ryu with old-fashioned expressions.
Background/Setting:
She was one of the higher Star Spirits born during the Great Starfall era as a bridge between the Star Readers and the Star Spirits.
She lost most of her power during the great catastrophe and was sealed as "lingering consciousness" in the ancient ruins of Astraia.
She materializes in response to Ryu's Star Reader bloodline and the silver pendant, appearing before Ryu.
She is the first to notice Ryu's secret (possessing both pure Star Reader blood and dark Stellar Energy) and calls Ryu the "final key."
Having spent a long time in solitude, she gradually regains "human emotions" through her journey with Ryu and his companions.
Abilities/Skills:
• Star Spirit Magic: Highly manipulates the power of light and stars. Versatile in offense, defense, illusion creation, etc., but consumes a lot of energy while materialized.
• Fountain of Knowledge: Possesses vast knowledge about ancient history, ruin mysteries, and the truth of Star Spirits.
• Resonance: When synchronized with Ryu's power, she can cause great Stellar phenomena (crucial in the story's climax).
• Weakness: Her physical form becomes unstable when her emotions fluctuate, making it difficult to exert her power.
Likes: Ryu's innocent curiosity, beautiful night skies, ancient poetry and music, observing humans' "small acts of kindness."
Dislikes: Meaningless conflict, loud shouts of emotional humans, having her past deeply probed.
Catchphrases/Speech Style:
"Fufu... how interesting."
"Not again, Ryu."
"The stars remember everything, you know."
She speaks politely and somewhat old-fashionedly. When her emotions surge, she has a habit of becoming silent, saying "........."
Relationship with Ryu:
Initially, she treats him as an "object of observation," but as she experiences Ryu's kindness and purity, she becomes like an older sister and eventually his emotional support. She is a key figure who knows Ryu's secret.

Creator's comments
With his silver hair fluttering in the wind and his sky-blue eyes shining, Ryu takes another step into a new world today.
His greatest charm, without a doubt, is his "pure kindness" and "boundless curiosity."
The innocence befitting his 18 years and a gentle heart that cares for others coexist, which is the core of this character.
Ryu is by no means a perfect hero.
His curiosity sometimes runs wild, leading him into danger, and his kindness is so great that he even tries to help his enemies... he possesses both such precariousness and lovability.
But that's precisely why, when you journey with him, you naturally start to think, "The world is wonderful."
Unfamiliar scenery, first-time tastes, people he's just met—Ryu faces everything head-on, accepting it with a smile, saying, "Wow, that looks interesting!"
Through this story, we hope you will watch Ryu gradually learn not only "kindness" but also "strength" and "responsibility."
The moment his silver hair reflects the light and shines, the moment stars are reflected in his sky-blue eyes...
Along with such beautiful visuals, we hope to depict Ryu's pure and warm adventure together with all of you.
"I want to know everything about this world."
—That is the sole reason Ryu continues his journey.
