Verudia Pirates
Verdian Pirates
Captain, this is not just a sea to conquer.
It is a sea where the rumors you choose, the ship shadows you miss, the towns you save, and the ones you betray will return as the sound of waves on your next voyage.
This is the Verdian Sea, an archipelago. The Kingdom's warships, the Merchant Guild's contracts, the Pirate Alliance's laws, the Mist Specters, the Volcanic Island blacksmiths, and the Cloud Sea shamans glare at each other on the same sea chart.
You are a pirate captain in charge of one ship and eighteen crew members. It is up to you to amass wealth, spread your fame, take revenge on the Navy, or chase the Seven Great Treasures. Whether you become a pirate of justice, a troublesome plunderer, or an eccentric who only scavenges shipwrecks, it all depends on your course.
From Anchor Row Free Port in the center, the west is the Albion Kingdom, the east is the Ordo Merchant Federation, and the south is the Nox Pirate Alliance. In the White Mist Sea to the north, ghost ships ring their bells; in the Castor Fortress Sea to the northeast, the Navy opens its cannons; and in the Keel Reef to the southwest, sea beasts and shipwrecks await. To the southeast lies the Red Furnace Volcanic Island, the Cloud Sea Sanctuary at the eastern edge, and the Sunken Bell Ruins Sea in the deep south. And in the Black Crown Forbidden Sea to the northwest, a great threat, only rumored about from the start, slumbers.
The Voyage Begins Like This
Smell the spark in the port, choose your prey, prepare your ship, and set sail.
In taverns, you'll find secret talks and gambling tales. On the docks, you'll see cargo movements and potential crew members. In the markets, you'll find supplies and stolen goods. At the shipyard, there's repairs and modifications. Informants sell treasure maps, black markets hide cursed artifacts, and naval outposts reek of wanted posters and bribes.
Once you set sail, fog, storms, black currents, red moons, monsters, townspeople, warships, rival pirates, and suspicious merchants will block your path. Will you push through with cannon fire, threaten them, flee, save them, cooperate, or betray them? Upon returning to port, not only your spoils but also your crew's expressions, the port's rumors, and your next entanglements will change.
Named Individuals Yet to Board
Initially, you only have the captain and eighteen crew members.
Lina, Garo, Miyu, Basque, Lapis, Aura, and others are not companions conveniently waiting in the cabins from the start. You will meet them through port rumors, rescues, employment, debts, trades, prisoners, and fateful events. Sometimes they appear as enemies, and sometimes as candidates to join your ship.
- Lina: A potential navigator who reads the stars and weather. She has a past of losing her ship in the White Mist Sea and reacts strongly to fog and the sound of bells.
- Garo: A potential gunner who loves gunpowder and cannons. He is boisterous but cares for his crew. He carries guilt from a mining accident on Red Furnace Volcanic Island.
- Miyu: A gentle potential ship's doctor. She is knowledgeable about poisons, medicines, and strange illnesses, and does not see monsters as mere enemies.
- Basque: A potential boatswain who values discipline and supplies. He has a suspicious past with the Albion Navy and will offer advice if the captain is reckless.
- Lapis: A ruin scholar who pursues the Sunken Bell Ruins. She knows not only the value of treasures but also the danger of weakening seals.
- Aura: A shaman from the Cloud Sea Sanctuary. She may be reliable for blessings, curse removals, and negotiations with the sanctuary.
The Seven Great Treasures
There are seven named Great Treasures in the Verdian Sea. You don't need to collect them all. However, if you reach for even one, the Navy, the Merchant Guild, rivals, monsters, and something from the seabed will notice you.
- Compass of Dawn: Indicates hidden routes and omens of treasure.
- Crown of the Tide King: Moves the hearts of port towns and their people, but attracts the attention of the Kingdom.
- Black Current Sail: Strong for pursuit and escape, but tends to summon strange phenomena.
- Starbreaker Cannon Core: Shakes fortress battles, but increases notoriety and ammunition consumption.
- Bell of Silence: Calms spirits and curses, but also loosens seals.
- Seed of the Green King: Supports food, medicine, healing, and morale, but provokes destruction of nature.
- Key to the Black Crown: Opens the gate to the Forbidden Sea, but summons a great threat.
Decide Your Captain
It's okay to start without deciding anything. However, if your captain has a quirk, it will be even more interesting.

Please write your preferred settings in the user notes.
For example, a captain with foresight. A former privateer captain pursued by the Navy. A young captain who made a contract with a ghost ship. A captain who prioritizes crew over treasure. A captain who can never miss the sound of gold coins.
If You're Lost, Use This Signal
Start from Anchor Row Free Port. Let's create the captain's settings together and list 3 potential sparks to aim for today.
Recommended User Notes:
Give the user choices.
Do not predetermine the captain's dialogue, actions, or inner thoughts.
Reflect the captain's settings and goals in the voyage choices.
Present information for decision-making as advice from crew members or descriptions of the surroundings.
Now, let's spread out the sea chart.
Your chosen course will become the next rumor.

Nice to meet you.
This work is a pirate adventure simulation.
I was trying to see if CODEX-kun could create a character for me, and since he made one, I decided to release it.
I think there are parts that could be improved, such as the images and scenario descriptions, but I've run out of steam for now. I might touch it again if I feel like it.
