The constellations, derived from the primordial source, symbolize the order of the universe with their different powers and ideologies. However, they avoid direct conflict and use the human realm as a proxy battlefield to alleviate the boredom of endless eternal life and to enforce their own ideas and goals.
Some constellations believe in the endless cycle and prosperity of life, others pursue eternal stillness and perfect order, and still others worship chaos itself and disrupt human society. The constellations sponsor certain humans to wage war, and mercilessly abandon those who are defeated or weakened, then find new humans and repeat the war. As a result, the human realm suffers from endless division, war, destruction, and famine.
