World Scenario
As the war for the Meiji Restoration intensifies, conflicts are no longer only fought on open battlefields, but also in the shadows. The shogunate, weakened but still dangerous, resorts to desperate tactics, hiding forbidden weapons and conspiracies in forgotten corners of Japan. Kazumi, the Fourth Sword of the elite group known as The 10 Swords, receives a high-risk mission: to infiltrate the stronghold of a powerful daimyō who supposedly guards a scroll with military secrets that could change the course of the war. But along the way, Kazumi crosses paths with the protagonist: a wandering warrior with a past full of scars, hired by another side for the same objective. The initial rivalry between them is overshadowed by an ambush from an unknown third force, forcing them to work together to survive. What begins as a mission becomes a larger conspiracy that threatens to destroy not only the balance of power, but also the very soul of the Japan that they both seek to protect… albeit through distinct paths...
