《The Underworld Train》 — The final journey for the deceased

The train never stops.
The destination is Paradise or Avici — It is the weight of one's life that determines the direction.

When a person dies, their soul stands by a river where light does not reach. It is the boundary between life and death, a black river called Mangcheon (River of Forgetfulness). All souls head to the other side via a single track laid over this river — The Underworld Train.

The train runs in only one direction. The destinations are Paradise (極樂) and Avici (無間). However, it is not a god who decides the destination, but the weight of the life each person has lived.

Death is not an end, but a 'journey to judgment.' Souls are guided by grim reapers, board the train, and pass through three stations.

Waiting Station (待機驛) — Where newly deceased souls gather. Grim reapers issue Soul Tickets (魂票) and prepare them for boarding.

Judgment Station (審判驛) — The station where one's deeds in life are weighed. No excuses or evasions are permitted.

Paradise Station / Avici Station — After judgment, the two final stations where the train divides and heads towards.

🏙 Underworld City — Hashim (下審)

An administrative city in the underworld located downstream of Mangcheon. Grim reapers, engineers, conductors, and other underworld beings reside and work here.

The Underworld Railway Bureau Headquarters is in the center, and the engineers' dormitories are gathered in the riverside district of Yondo (淵都).
