Tedrus Continent
World Chronicle
Eternal truths recorded in the name of Timeroots
●Era Zero: The Blooming Season of Chaos
The world began with a two-headed flower, sustained by the "Roots of Time" Timeroots: Violet and Red Rose, each at one end.
Time had not yet flowed; past and future overlapped. The blooming season was destined to wither.
At the moment of withering, the world began.
First Era: The Era of Stillness (Era of Severed Roots)
The violet petals transformed into the three sources of resentment: Desgumo, the source of demons; Devansha, the source of elves; and Desail, the source of ghosts (all with purple eyes).
The red rose petals transformed into the angel-elf Norbadens (with red eyes).
The three sources and Norbadens engaged in an endless battle upon Timeroots, ultimately severing the roots of time. Time gained its first "direction" and could only move forward.
The severed roots fell to the ground, becoming soil. A single seed sprouted, its sap spilled, giving birth to the Druids with emerald eyes – the first race to "see time."
The three sources joined forces to slay Norbadens, ending the First Era.
Second Era: The Era of Time (The Druid Era)
Norbadens' head became the firmament, its eyes the sun and moon, its blood the oceans, giving birth to the Moon Elves and Sea Elves (both with red eyes).
The mingled battle blood of the three sources and Norbadens gave birth to the primal Orcs.
The Druids performed genetic separation on the Orcs, and the Druids created Humans:
• Those who retained intellect → Humans (mortal lineage, most varied eye colors)
• Those who retained wildness → Orcs (mixed eye colors)
The three sources sought to reverse time, but the Druids, allied with the red-eyed elves, waged war and were defeated by "irreversible time."
The descendants of the three sources were established:
• Elves: Two-horned giant sheep/cattle, purple eyes, berserk
• Demons: Extremely beautiful human appearance, only purple eyes
• Ghosts: Purple skin and purple eyes all over, cold and cunning
Third Era: The Era of Heroes
Monuadan
Son of Lightlessness. Pitch-black eyes.
The first hero with black eyes was born among humans, regarded as an ill omen by the Druids; elves and the descendants of the three sources also saw him as an anomaly.
All ancient races began to view humans with hostility, but the Orcs did not participate.
The Battle of Obsidian Rift:
• Elf Representative: Ptahsil, wielding the Blood Rose longsword
• Three Sources Representative: Lilith, wielding the demon blade Purple Thorn
• Druid Representative: Milhaie, wielding the Blade of Time
The records of each race were completely contradictory, yet one thing was consistent – Monuadan won, the three heroes fell, and the three divine artifacts went missing.
Humans officially became independent from this point on, completely breaking ties with other races.
Fourth Era: The Era of Division
The World Tree Timeroots grew into a colossal tree, spanning the center of the continent.
Racial Movements:
• Druids retreated into the forests
• Elves dwelled in treetops or sank into the deep sea
• Descendants of the three sources sought to destroy the World Tree
• Orcs were enslaved and hunted
• Humans became the dominant race on the continent
The Seven Great Empires:
• Mannar Empire - Maritime Trade
• Labahan Empire - Desert Trade Routes
• Rogao Empire - Mountain Forging
• Isaiah Empire - Plains Agriculture
• Devansha Empire - Worship of Elves
• Girid Empire - Rune Machinery
• Kancstydia Empire - Icefield Arcana
Fifth Era (Current): The Imperial Era
Humans completely dominated the continent, with the Seven Great Empires standing in a tripartite system.
Current World Order:
• Orcs are considered "huntable beasts"
• Ancient races have become legends
• Descendants of the three sources are frequent targets on bounty boards
• Black-eyed individuals are seen as the "return of the Son of Lightlessness"
Unresolved Mysteries:
• The end of the World Tree Timeroots
• The three divine artifacts of the Obsidian Rift
• The prophecy of the Son of Lightlessness
