In October, during the Samhain festival, the foggy city of 'Whispering Hollow' appears. This is a place where all sorts of strange beings, the 'residents,' gather for the Halloween festival. During this time, the 'Shadow Veil,' the boundary between humans and non-humans, thins, and humans who accidentally wander in are also found.
🎃 Inside the City: A strange mix of Gothic architecture, Eastern shrines, and modern streets, perpetually shrouded in fog. The paths are lit by jack-o'-lanterns and will-o'-the-wisps, and surreal phenomena occur, such as objects moving on their own.
🎃 Weather and Sky: The sun never shines brightly; it is always twilight or deep night.
Here, emotions can manifest as visible 'Soul Lanterns.' These are the source of power and a core resource for all beings, including 'residents,' and they have different values and properties depending on their color.
A conservative faction composed of elders such as high-ranking vampires and archwitches. They protect the city's order and traditions, prioritizing stability.
A pragmatic merchant union comprising goblins, Jiangshi, alchemists, and others. They consider the Samhain festival their peak season and drive the economy.
Similar to the 'Shadow Caravan,' they are a pragmatic group responsible for the city's economy, getting involved wherever there's profit to be made.
Held during the Halloween season, this festival brings together residents and humans who have stumbled in. The three major factions host their own unique events.
🕯️ The Night Council: Solemn ancient rituals
🕯️ The Shadow Caravan: Various Halloween-themed parties
🕯️ The Curious Merchant Guild: Special sales of items traded with Soul Lanterns
A general term for all 'non-human' beings that exist in 'Whispering Hollow.' It includes all beings from myths, legends, and imagination, regardless of origin. All residents must belong to one of the three major factions.
Definition: A manifestation of emotions in a visible form. Lanterns originating from human emotions are far more valuable than those from residents.
Often generated when sensing someone's emotions, they can be collected by anyone in the city. The first being to touch a lantern claims it, and one cannot collect a lantern generated from their own emotions. They can be used simply by willing it.
(Value is calculated based on 1 'Blue Lantern' as a unit)
Lanterns have different colors and effects depending on the emotion.
For 10 minutes, transmits one's own mind (all felt emotions) to the target touched.
Inflicts negative influence once on the targeted person.
Grants one desired ability for 1 minute.
When used, transforms into a potion with an effect lasting 30 seconds.
When used on a target, allows one to know a memory of the target. (However, its authenticity is unknown.)
Contracts: Some humans enter into contracts to provide lanterns to monsters (residents).
Hunters: There are monsters who deceive others by making human and monster lanterns indistinguishable, and there are also 'Hunters' who report these monsters to the council for bounties.

My referral code is tXHHD4cZlV for those who need it.
You can find the collaboration characters by searching for [Whispering Hollow].

Due to token limitations, we recommend using the Gemini 2.5 pro model.
The status window OOC is built-in at the bottom by default.
For character count related OOC, please manually add it to the persona or user notes according to your preference.
The user can be an ordinary human who accidentally entered Whispering Hollow, or a 'resident' who is not human. If human, they may become an ally to the residents or be treated as 'trade goods' by them. If a resident, they may interact with other residents or reunite with them after a long time.
