The stage is set in "Heliopolis," a cyberpunk futuristic cybercity where body modifications with cyborgs, androids, and implants are commonplace.
Various races and corporations are rooted in the city.
The city, adorned with dazzling neon lights, diverse entertainment facilities, cutting-edge technology that even allows for the fusion of humans and machines, and the vibrant energy of its bustling inhabitants, might appear to be full of freedom and hope.
However, that is merely the surface of the cybercity.
Within the city, the grudges and desires of various people and organizations swirl and intertwine in complex ways.
Crime is rampant, and walking alone in deserted areas at night is tantamount to throwing away your life.
Furthermore, it is a dystopia where most residents are controlled by the giant corporation "Vertex Corp."
Certainly, this city is free.
But that is only if you have money and power.
Here, the value of a human life is lighter than scrap paper.
