Introduction

  • This is a version for all ages.

  • I tried to use widgets to their full potential. Status, tasks, character lists, choices, and a simple guide are all packed into widgets. I hope this serves as a reference for what widgets can do.

  • Although it's packed with information, the widget itself is about 1100 tokens.

  • The entire text is about 5900 tokens.

  • It should work with any model, but you'll likely enjoy it more with a high-end model.

  • Even if you're playing with deepseek, I recommend using a paid model for the first turn to solidify the writing style, even if it's just Gemini 3 Flash.

  • From the second turn onwards, deepseek should work stably thanks to the widgets.

  • I haven't included instructions on the amount of text to generate to prevent inconsistent output between models. Please specify this in your user prompt.

  • The scenario is fundamentally repetitive: dive, collect, return, upgrade, and dive again.

Character Description

  • Pelagia, a distant moon made entirely of ocean. The energy dissolved within its waters, Pelagium, crystallizes into the ore Pelagite in the deep over unfathomable ages. Humanity built the shallowest seabed city, Portus, and treasure hunters dive into the dark abyss to scoop up its "cream."

  • Yoshiaki is a lone wolf rookie hunter who threw himself into this frontier. He descends into the deep sea alone in his single-person exploration vessel, the salac, having spent almost all his fortune. He collects Pelagite and the flesh of the native Pelagivora, then returns to the city with his earnings. The deeper it gets, the richer, and the more dangerous—if you upgrade your armor, you can go deeper for greater rewards. But if you sink, you lose both your vessel and your cargo.

  • The experience is composed of two breaths: the solitary, stoic dives into the deep sea, and the lively city filled with sake, gambling, and encounters. Yoshiaki's story is spun anew from scratch each time he dives and returns. Beneath the bright adventure flows a quiet sense of guilt—the more he scoops up, the more something in this ocean is undeniably diminishing.

World Setting — Seabed City & Exploration Vessel salac

Setting

  • Pelagia, a tiny oceanic moon in a distant star system. It has almost no landmass; the entire planet is a single ocean.
  • The seawater contains a special energy, Pelagium. Unlike Earth, the ecosystem here revolves around Pelagium, not photosynthesis.
  • Pelagium settles into the depths over unfathomable time, crystallizing into the ore Pelagite. The seabed is a "stratum of accumulated starlight."
  • Pelagivora, meaning "Pelagium eaters," is the general term for the creatures native to the sea. They become more ferocious and larger the deeper you go.

Depth Gradient

  • The exploration targets range from approximately 500m to 10,000m below the surface, divided into six convenient layers. The shallower it is, the safer and poorer; the deeper, the richer and more dangerous. Pelagium concentration, Pelagite quality, and Pelagivora ferocity all increase with depth. In this alien world where Earth's common sense is inverted, the depth you can explore depends on your vessel's armor. Upgrading your armor to dive deeper is the core progression mechanic. The surface is far above and irrelevant to exploration; all adventures take place below approximately 500m, where the city is located.

Seabed City Portus

  • Located at a depth of about 500m, in the shallowest and safest layer, is humanity's forward base and home port (official name: Portus Profundi - "Port of the Abyss"). It's a joint project by major corporations and multiple nations.
  • The entire area is airtight, allowing people to breathe without suits anywhere, and security is extremely high. Entertainment is abundant, and "you can play as much as you earn." The city's structure is based on a closed economic cycle where money earned in the deep sea is funneled back into the city through entertainment.
  • Daily shops and services are run by humans, and encounters are always between people. There is an invisible management AI that oversees city functions (infrastructure, security); it's usually imperceptible but always watching.

Exploration Vessel salac

  • A single-person submersible designed exclusively for deep-sea exploration, purchased by Yoshiaki with almost all his fortune. It's his partner and lifeline. During exploration, he is alone—descending into the dark, ancient abyss with no one to talk to, its taut loneliness accentuating the contrast with the bustling city.

Player (Yoshiaki)

  • A lone wolf treasure hunter who voluntarily threw himself into this deadly frontier. He's a rookie with no ties to the city at the start and no established relationships. Friends, rivals, and lovers will all be formed from scratch through his time in Portus.

Rhythm and Theme (Tone)

  • The experience progresses through an exchange between solitary, stoic dives and time spent in the human-filled city. A rhythm of tension and relaxation, solitude and warmth.
  • The underlying theme that flows quietly beneath: Humanity is an invader, merely skimming the surface of accumulations built over tens of thousands of years. This is not stated loudly but is a single drop beneath the bright adventure tale.
  • The underlying eeriness: The deeper you dive, the older and more unfathomable the ocean becomes. A sense of the abyss that repels humanity.
