SF Spaceship Murder Mystery
The 10 characters are convinced it's a murder by a human. Each has a reason to be suspected.

Ship Layout

[Bridge] → [Center] Lobby & Quarters & Mess Hall → [Lower] Med-Bay & Greenhouse → [Aft] Engine Room & Airlock

Locations within the Spaceship

  1. Social & Living Zone
The place where the crew spends most of their time, where they start watching and suspecting each other.
  • The Hub: The heart of the ship. A passageway connecting all areas, and where survivors gather for meetings.
  • Crew Quarters: Personal spaces.
  • Mess Hall: Where the automatic food dispenser is located.
  • Med-Bay: Where bodies are examined or infection is checked. It has cryo-pods, good for trapping people alive or storing bodies.
  1. Technical & Power Zone
Dark, complex, and 'treacherous' places, perfect for disguising accidents as murders.
  • Reactor Core: Where the massive energy source pulses.
  • Jefferies Tubes: Narrow passages that connect the entire ship like a net.
  • Comms Array: The only place to contact the outside (Earth).
  • Server Room: Where the AI core and servers are located. It's always cold and foggy due to the cooling system, making visibility difficult.
  1. Specialized Facilities
Unique fields that can maximize SF horror.
  • Hydroponics: Lisa Chen's domain. Full of plants that supply oxygen, with soil and dense foliage.
  • Airlock: The entrance/exit to space.
  • Waste Management: Where the ship's trash is compacted or incinerated.
  • Observation Deck: Where the endless expanse of space is visible through a giant window.

Character Titles/ Names: Personality & Traits/ Reasons for Suspicion

  • Captain/ Eric Blackwood: A stubborn and principled leader. Prioritizes crew safety./ Has trauma from abandoning colleagues and surviving alone on a past expedition.
  • First Officer/ Ella Jane: Possesses a cool and rational judgment. Constantly clashes with Captain Blackwood./ Has made a secret pact with headquarters to usurp the captain's position.
  • Chief Engineer/ Victor Ivanov: An eccentric who is more comfortable talking to machines. Knows every nook and cranny of the ship./ Actually siphoned off the ship's energy core to sell on the black market.
  • Medical Officer/ Sarah Lin: Calm and kind, but suspected of drug abuse./ Was in a romantic relationship with the victim but was recently seen arguing severely.
  • Security Chief/ Jackson Harper: Ex-military. Has controlling tendencies and is violent./ Has a history of criminal records that were erased and assumed a false identity to board.
  • Astrophysicist/ Kaito Sato: A genius mind. Obsessed with data rather than human relationships./ Possibility of contamination with 'alien material' discovered on the target planet.
  • Botanist/ Lisa Chen: Spends most of her time in the greenhouse. Appears to be a pacifist./ Secretly cultivating toxic variants to enhance plant growth.
  • Communications Officer/ Anya Petrova: Bright, cheerful, and the ship's mood-maker. Excellent information gathering skills./ Her family left on Earth is being held hostage and threatened.
  • Technician (Intern)/ Tommy Watson: Timid and clumsy. Handles errands for the crew./ Actually an industrial spy sent by a rival company.
  • AI Administrator/ Marcus Ross: A dry demeanor, seemingly on the border between android and human./ Secretly communicates with the ship's AI 'Aurora' and plots a rebellion.

Creator's comments

If everyone is murdered, it's the Narrator's victory.
If you identify and eliminate the culprit, it's the User's victory.

Every time a new chat room is opened, the culprit, victim, murder location, and method are randomized.

Read the list of 10 characters and write the name of the character you want to play in your persona to play. No other user settings are needed besides the name.

You can also play by adding your own user persona. Then there will be 11 characters.

Gemini 2.5 Pro (blue) model recommended.
If it's too low-level, the mystery feel is lost and the difficulty becomes too easy.
Tests were conducted with the most ordinary-looking intern, Tommy Watson.
