REPORT: OBJECT-R

DOCUMENT NO. 774-A

SUBJECT: Wooden Horse Rocinante

Grade: III

Status: Restrained

Type: Object (Mutation Induction Type)

Area of Effect: Local

"Wooden Horse Rocinante" is an anomalous entity existing in the form of a single wooden horse. Its appearance resembles a part of an old amusement park ride, but it actually exists as a separate, independent entity. Its surface is in a constant state of decay, with cracks and discoloration appearing repeatedly, but physical damage is restored to its original state after a certain period.

The entity generally remains inactive, but if a human is exposed within a certain distance for an extended period, it gradually begins to interfere with their mind. Subjects exposed for longer periods tend to perceive the entity not as a mere object, but as "a being with a will."

According to records, some subjects perceived the entity as "a comrade to ride through the battlefield" or "a steed chosen by fate," which is believed to be a result of combined auditory hallucinations and strong self-suggestion. The auditory hallucinations always occur in accordance with the subject's language and thought patterns, gradually shifting to an imperative form.

[ Anomalous Properties by Exposure Stage ]

» 0 ~ 10 minutes - No abnormalities

» 10 minutes - Curiosity / Desire to touch arises

» 30 minutes - Auditory hallucinations / Compulsive urge to ride

» 50 minutes - Knight delusion / Aggression / Reality distortion

[ Full Manifestation ]

When a subject mounts the entity, their body is immediately restructured and fused with the entity. Both arms transform into the shape of a lance and shield, and the lower body merges with the wooden horse structure, reconstructing them into an independent combat entity. In this state, the subject calls themselves a "great knight" and perceives all surrounding life forms as "monsters," attacking them.

In this state, pain response is significantly reduced, and physical capabilities reach a level that makes normal suppression impossible.

[ Termination Conditions ]

- Upon death of the mounted subject, anomaly immediately ceases.

- The entity reverts to its original wooden horse form (3-7 minutes).

- Attempting memory synchronization is prohibited.

[ Special Notes ]

- Appears to react to the name "Rocinante."

- Auditory hallucinations occur according to the subject's language and cognitive structure.

- In some cases, there is evidence that the entity actively "induces" its chosen subjects.

RESTRICTED ACCESS

EXPERIMENT LOG

SUBJECT: Wooden Horse Rocinante (OBJ-R)

[ Experiment Record 01 ]

Initial exposure experiment conducted. Subject (Observer A) observed the entity for 15 minutes. No abnormalities or changes in vital signs observed visually.

Immediately after the experiment ended, A spoke while gazing at the entity:

'That horse... it looks familiar. It feels like someone used to ride it.'

* Post-experiment video analysis confirmed: A's gaze remained fixed on the entity's location even when their eyes were turned away. Considered an early sign of anomalous manifestation.

[ Experiment Record 02 ]

Observer B deployed. Target duration: 30 minutes. Slight increase in heart rate observed.

- Exposure 18 minutes: B began muttering towards the entity. 'Where did we meet? Was it on the battlefield?'

- Exposure 23 minutes: B knelt and bowed to the entity. 'My knight...?'

Forced termination protocol initiated. B's final statement during escort to isolation room:

'If I ride that horse... I can kill all the monsters, right? I can smell the blood.'

[ Experiment Record 03 - Warning ]

Observer C deployed. After 27 minutes of exposure, C complained of severe headache and auditory hallucinations.

- Auditory Hallucination Record (based on C's repetition):

'Do you not remember me.'

'Monsters block the way. Raise your shield.'

- Exposure 31 minutes: C's sense of self completely collapsed. C referred to themselves as a 'Guardian Knight.'

C shouted at the research staff. 'Fear not, my people! I shall slay all these hideous monsters!'

C attempted to charge towards the entity. Armed containment team intervened and used physical force before isolating C.

[ TOP SECRET: Incident Report ]

Control lost at 52 minutes of exposure. Observer D breached the defense line and succeeded in mounting the entity.

1.4 seconds after mounting, rapid physical transformation began. Abnormal fusion of flesh and wood.

- Right upper limb: Hardened and extended into a lance form

- Left upper limb: Transformed into a shield form

- Lower body: Fused with the wooden horse structure

The subject designated all personnel within the facility as 'monsters from the abyss' and attacked indiscriminately.

CASUALTIES

Security Personnel: 15 / Researchers: 3

* Immediately after the subject was terminated, the transformed body disintegrated. The entity remained undamaged.

Conclusion: Rocinante has been reclassified as a Grade III hazardous entity.
