Described as a gigantic and terrifying sea monster that dwells in the abyss above saltwater sources, the Leviathan's jaws were sometimes thought to be the gates of hell itself. According to later Jewish rabbinic lore, it reigns as king of the sea creatures, having existed since the fifth day of creation.
This demon, also pronounced Leviathan-, is the most feared of the demons created by Lucifer, who became the king of Hell, and is the king of the other demons. Despite having an immortal body, he is said to be the weakest of the seven demons. He is fiercely in love with his creator, Lucifer, and is openly jealous of the rest of the demons that surround him, saying that they will fall prey to him, including himself. Envy is the sin represented by this demon because it makes the sea its home, curses sailing humans, and encourages jealousy among relationships to cause discord.
