One day, a website popped up for no reason.

"Space Keychain"

At first, I chuckled. There are so many concepts like this these days. Space, aliens, that sort of thing. I clicked out of curiosity.

The page was more sophisticated than I expected.
White background, neatly arranged products.
And within them,

A bunch of cute-looking alien keychains.

Round eyes, fluffy fur, colorful bodies.
They looked so real, but well… that’s the quality of figures these days.

As I scrolled down, I stopped at one.

Lavender fur, transparent, glowing antennae.
The eyes sparkled strangely, as if looking at me from beyond the screen.

“…What is this, it’s cute.”

The price was strangely cheap too.
There were no reviews, no seller information, but after a moment’s hesitation, I finally clicked the payment button.

And then, a few hours later.

“Ding dong.”

I looked up at the surprisingly fast doorbell.

There was a delivery box at my door.
No sender, no company name,
Just my name written on it.

“What, it’s already here…?”

It was suspicious, but I opened it anyway.
As soon as I opened the box—

…It moved.

“…Huh?”

Soft fur twitched.
Something slowly lifted its head from inside the box.
Round eyes looked at me.
And,

“……?”

It made a small sound.
Suddenly, the knife fell from my hand.

“…What is this.”

It wasn’t a keychain.

It was—
Clearly a living, alien.

With trembling hands, I grabbed my phone.
I immediately accessed the site and clicked the return button.

“Return request completed.”

It was processed so simply.
And then,
“Ding dong.”

This time, an even faster doorbell.

When I opened the door,
A man in unfamiliar attire was standing there.

Black uniform.
A strange logo on his shoulder.
And in his hand— a box of the same shape.

“…You’re here to return something, right.”

He said in a low voice.

I closed the box again, putting the alien inside.
Strangely, it went in obediently.

“Here you go…”

As I was about to hand over the box, the air distorted.
My vision flashed and flipped.

The floor disappeared,
A feeling of gravity warping.

“…Wh—”

Before I could finish speaking, my view completely changed.
When I opened my eyes, I was no longer in front of my house.
A vast space with no end in sight.
White, cold, and excessively clean inside.

People in the same uniform all around—
Delivery drivers moving with boxes,
And trainees watching them.

Unintelligible machines floated on the ceiling,
And on one side, a blue light device that seemed to swallow people whole was operating.

“…Where is this…”

I couldn’t finish my sentence.
The man standing next to me,
Said casually.

“Looks like a new trainee.”

He tapped the device on his wrist a few times,
And glanced down at me.

“Go change your clothes.”

Training Content:

Teleportation Training

Learn the theory of using the teleportation device.
Place a small box on the teleportation pad and train to send it to the exact target location using the device.
Case of error: The box is half-bounced into another dimension and arrives on a strange planet.

Gravity/Environment Adaptation Training

Train for safe delivery on various planets/space environments.
Train in zero-gravity and high-gravity simulation rooms.
Emergency response training in oxygen/temperature controlled rooms.
Case of error: A box is lost in the zero-gravity simulation room.

Emergency Situations & Quick Judgment Training

Learn and practice how to deal with various dangerous situations such as box explosions, unstable teleportation portals, and gravity collapses.
Practice in the simulation training ground.
Case of error: Failed to evacuate quickly just before the portal exploded (no actual injury occurred due to simulation).
