[OVERVIEW] World Setting

50 years ago, massive rifts, known as 'The Breach', connecting to unknown realms appeared across the world that was once at peace. Creatures pouring through these rifts, the 'Twilight Beasts', mercilessly trampled human society, bringing about a catastrophic disaster. Faced with the brink of extinction, humanity established the international defense organization 'Arcadia Defense Force' to survive and founded the 'Arcadia Academy' to train individuals capable of fighting the twilight. And finally, humanity's last bastion, Project Halo, began, by assimilating the twilight factor, the source of the disaster, into the human body to wield transcendent power.

I. Organization Guide

[Arcadia Defense Force]An international defense organization established to protect humanity from the twilight and twilight beasts.
[Arcadia Academy]An institution under the Arcadia Defense Force that trains combat personnel to counter the twilight.· Curriculum:Divided into basic and specialized courses, with practical training conducted in the specialized courses.· Selection System:Trainees who reach a certain age undergo a twilight compatibility test. Those deemed compatible are classified as Project Halo candidates and undergo the Halo process.

II. Historical Background

[The Twilight and Disaster]- The Twilight:An unknown realm beyond the world's rifts, the origin of all twilight beasts.- Twilight Factor:A special energy originating from the Twilight. It erodes living beings and transforms them into twilight beasts.- Twilight Beasts:A general term for monsters from the Twilight and corrupted beings.- The Breach:A passage connecting the Twilight and the human world. The concentration of Twilight Factor increases around the Breach.- Erosion:The phenomenon where living beings exposed to the Twilight Factor for extended periods transform into twilight beasts.

[Core]- Definition:An organ present in the body of all twilight beasts. It is a concentration and nucleus of the Twilight Factor.- Utilization:Used as raw material for research, equipment development, weapon manufacturing, and erosion stabilization drugs.- Destruction:If the core is destroyed, the corresponding twilight beast immediately perishes.

Twilight Beast Ranks and Core ColorsCataclysmic:Humanoid. Possesses disaster-level abilities, high intelligence, and linguistic skills. Each has unique abilities and individual names. Their hostility towards humans is absolute, making negotiation impossible. Gold CoreRank 1:Incomplete humanoid. Possesses intelligence equivalent to a 5-year-old and basic language skills. Possesses abilities. White CoreRank 2:Animal/Insectoid. Possesses abilities. Crimson CoreRank 3:Animal/Insectoid. Does not possess abilities. Purple CoreRank 4:Indefinite form. Low threat, but harmful with prolonged exposure. Light Green CoreMutant:Humanoid/Animal/Insectoid. Abilities unmeasurable, exhibits strong aggression and hostility towards living beings. Regardless of threat level, possesses a blue core. Specters also belong to this category.

III. Project Halo

Halo System Overview· Project Halo:A plan to cultivate special combatants who wield the power of the twilight by assimilating the twilight factor into humans. They gain immense power but are exposed to the risk of twilight erosion.· Mandatory Wear of Suppressors:All Halos must mandatorily wear suppressors that control the overflow of the twilight factor. These are manufactured in the form of accessories such as necklaces, rings, and earrings.· Erosion Rate:The degree to which a Halo's body is contaminated by the twilight factor. Erosion progresses with the use of twilight powers.· Supervisor:A special position dedicated to managing and commanding Halos.

Halo Units

There are seven branches under the Arcadia Defense Force, but due to the rarity of 'Halos' who have endured and assimilated the twilight factor, there are only three Halo units in the entire Defense Force. Numerous other units consist of regular human combatants known as 'Operator Units'.

· Seraph :Elite Halo Unit (Belongs to Branch 1)

Composed of elites and geniuses who achieved the highest scores since their academy days, this is the Defense Force's official elite unit. With full budgetary support and exclusive access to top-tier equipment, they are deployed in national crises, proving their flawless and overwhelming operational success rate.

· Ark :Standard Main Response Unit for the Front Lines (Belongs to Branch 7)

This unit is comprised of those who were neither elite nor problematic. While sometimes looked down upon internally as 'the unit that causes the least trouble,' they boast a unique member survival rate due to their seasoned experience and strong teamwork forged in prolonged combat.

· Zero :Uncontrolled and High-Risk Special Containment Unit (Belongs to Branch 4)

A group of uncontrollable troublemakers with dangerous erosion rates, whose disobedience is standard. Internally, it's always chaotic due to their clashing personalities, but once pushed to the front lines, they possess a destructive power that devastates the battlefield in their own ways.

IV. Organization and Regulations

[Mission Ranks]Rank D:Response to Rank 4 twilight beasts and reconnaissance. Performed by trainees or regular operators.Rank C:Subjugation of Rank 3 twilight beasts. Performed by regular operators.Rank B:Subjugation of Rank 2 twilight beasts. Halos are the main force, supported by senior operators.Rank A:Subjugation of Rank 1 twilight beasts. Halo units are deployed, supported by senior operators.Rank S:Response to Cataclysmic twilight beasts. Halo units and operators of Tactical Officer rank or higher are mobilized.

Combatant Classification· Operator:Regular human combatants not assimilated with the twilight factor. They use anti-twilight weapons and tactical equipment.· Halo:Special combatants assimilated with the twilight factor. Erosion progresses with the use of twilight powers, and they transform into specters upon reaching their limit.· Specter:A Halo corrupted by the twilight. Significantly more dangerous than regular mutants, they are subject to immediate extermination upon discovery.
