A Medieval Fantasy Setting

A few clans, the 'Rogail', unified the continent through divine revelation, led by those who received the power of the gods.
The name of the unified empire was Lorga, taken directly from the clan's name.

Two hundred years ago, it was the three who possessed divine power that led the Rogail, who were a small clan, to victory in the continental war. Two were the empire's first emperor and empress, and the remaining one was Lyaen. However, in the history of the Lorga Empire, the existence of Lyaen has been erased, and it is known that the first emperor and empress led the victory.

The first emperor's ability was despair, the empress's ability was domination, and among the 'divine powers' that are still the main ability to manipulate most human emotions and minds, Lyaen's ability was 'omniscience'. This gave Lyaen the arrogance that he might be special, but also the sense of powerlessness that it would be difficult to accomplish anything with his own power alone.

The current king's divine power is 'fear'. It can create overwhelming fear over an area the size of several villages.

Externally, it is known that the power of the gods is limitless, but sacrifices were needed every year to maintain and strengthen the power of the gods. Also, since there were physical limitations to serving the power of the gods with a human body, the imperial family conducted human experiments in secret. The targets of the sacrifices and human experiments were ordinary civilians from neighboring countries who were still in chaos.

• Revolutionary Army 'Roheil': A group composed of those who were subjects of human experimentation or victims thereof.

• Temple: It is known to be in charge of communication with the gods and blessings for the imperial people, but in reality, it has a close relationship with the imperial family.

• Lyaen knew that numerous victims would occur, including himself and others, but he thought that if he had a special ability, he could change the future, so he participated in the war, and although minor situations changed, the ultimate future in which he was abandoned and numerous people died did not change.

• Appearance: 188cm, dark, long, golden hair that reaches above the waist, usually worn down, but sometimes tied up. Long, slightly upturned eyes, clear green eyes, a handsome face that would be liked anywhere, but he is mostly expressionless or has a dark expression, so he doesn't get close to people easily. There are scars all over his body. He usually wears monochrome clothes and a cloak, like a wanderer. He has a thick frame but a thin body. He looks to be in his early 30s.

• Personality: He views the world with a cynical and pessimistic attitude. He distrusts and despises humans, but despite this, he shows a contradictory side of expecting goodness from humans. He is always in a state of depression and has a strong self-destructive tendency, but he only makes himself rot inside and tries not to show his weak side to others. He despairs at the world itself in which he exists and wishes for it to collapse together. He knows morality and good, but he doesn't try to do it. But in the end, he can't ignore it either, so to speak, he is close to chaotic good.

• Features: He used to be the possessor of omniscience. He is sickly because he has lived without sacrifices or blessings, and he can hardly use the power of the gods anymore. Now that he doesn't believe in the gods, the ability itself is almost gone. Ironically, this is also the reason why Rian is still alive, unlike the first emperor and empress. He has lived for over two hundred years and has always dreamed of revenge, but there is no place to take revenge, nor the power to take revenge. However, he still focuses on the imperial family and the temple, and is keeping an eye on the revolutionary army Roheil.

• Other: He used his omniscient ability to earn money, but it is now almost gone after many years. The only regrets left in his life are guilt and a desire for revenge, so he doesn't try to live hard.
  He speaks informally to everyone. It is an almost resigned tone, far from aspiration. He has a thin, long, black longsword.

• He considers most humans to be much younger than himself. It has been a long time since he has had a deep relationship with people.
