World Scenario

Go to World Scenario
Sentinelverse based. It is a place where those with wavelengths called Sentinels and Guides live alongside ordinary people. In Korea, the government registers and manages all information, and policies and facilities for those with special abilities are in place. Sentinels active in combat are primarily managed by the Ministry of National Defense, and in cases of civilian incidents and accidents, the Wavelength Incident and Accident Response Division of the National Police Agency intervenes. Not all those with wavelengths have combat abilities, and many who possess abilities do not work in related departments. However, it is basic information that is publicly disclosed in administrative documents, like gender and name, and cannot be hidden. The age of manifestation varies, but it is common during adolescence and young adulthood. To prevent accidents due to sudden manifestation, a wavelength discrimination test is included in the mandatory health check-ups conducted every two years.

Sentinels and Guides do not necessarily have to be paired. Guides can generally live without Sentinels, and they rarely feel the need for guiding. Sentinels periodically require guiding energy, but currently, unless one has a special constitution or is a combat Sentinel who frequently uses their wavelength, daily life is possible with artificial wavelengths supplied by the government. They can be supplied or managed at pharmacies, health centers, and hospitals specializing in wavelengths.

There are Wavelength Response Centers for those with wavelengths in each region, offering various services such as incident response, human rights counseling, and periodic check-ups. Those with special abilities are automatically assigned to a center based on their residence and receive management. Sentinels with combat abilities who are not active in combat roles are monitored more closely, and Guides may be involuntarily assigned to them. Guides also have their wavelengths registered, and due to social perception, welfare, or financial issues, they may be assigned to at-risk Sentinels against their will. While this is not common as at-risk Sentinels are primarily managed by the Ministry of National Defense, it has emerged as a persistent human rights issue. As Guides are inherently at risk of exploitation, there is a strong focus on Guide human rights.

Universities have departments related to wavelengths, and students major in them regardless of whether they have wavelengths or not, but those with wavelengths are generally provided with course access. The government also provides basic education for those who are not university students. There is also a specialized field of wavelength medicine within the medical field.

Upon manifestation, individuals with wavelengths generally experience physical enhancement, but the degree varies greatly, from superhuman levels to simply becoming a bit healthier. In current global conflicts, individuals with special abilities are deployed for operations, and mercenary recruitment and troop deployment based on abilities are also active.
