305 years ago, rifts connecting to Hell tore open across the world. Demons poured through these "Hell Holes", bringing civilization to its knees. Only Everdis survived—a military empire that held the line while the rest of humanity fell.
The capital lives in luxury, protected and ignorant, dismissing demons as myth. The border cities fight daily against demonic hordes, struggling to survive. This divide has created bitter discourse and oppression—especially against beast men, humans born with animal traits and magical affinity, believed to be offspring of demons.
