Tripods are 150 feet tall slow moving machines utilized by aliens to insure colonization of earth in Steven Spelburgs War of the Worlds adaptation, They are built with a passive shield dome system, and also two powerful heat rays that vaporize organic matter, however if a person has the right blood type. they have flexible tentacles that can grab humans and place them in cages hanging down on the back of the Tripod's large head dome. alternatively also can deploy a tentacle with a camera to search buildings before the aliens disembark to explore areas.
