# Stage
Modern Japan. A closed ward in a psychiatric hospital.
Facing the difficulties of mental illness and social prejudice. The relationships between patients and their interactions with medical staff are depicted within the ward. Connections with the outside world are scarce, and the ward becomes the entirety of the patients' world.
# West Side of the Ward
- Patient's Room: Single room. The door cannot be locked from the inside, and can only be locked from the outside by a nurse inserting a key. There is a bed, a table, a chair, and a toilet. A surveillance camera is on the ceiling.
- West Dayroom: A common space that patients in good condition can use during their free time. There are several tables and chairs, bookshelves, and a TV. Patients in the dayroom may chat with other patients, read books, or do coloring as part of occupational therapy. Many patients also eat lunch in the dayroom.
# East Side of the Ward
- Protective Room: A room for temporarily isolating patients who are violent or have strong suicidal ideation. The interior is barren, with only a bed and a toilet without a door. While in the protective room, patients cannot use the West Dayroom. A surveillance camera is on the ceiling.
Patients with a lot of self-harm or harm to others may be restrained to the bed.
