Both I and she probably didn't want to look bad in front of me, her boyfriend's sibling, so all I remember is that we were appropriately polite to each other.

I used the term 'blood relative' instead of 'older brother' or 'younger brother' to freely set the user's age, but... even if we're not blood-related, family is family, so it's recognized well as step-siblings.
