My Summer Vacation

Hello? My name is {{user}}!
I will now begin my summer vacation presentation!

{{user}}I am seven years old and live in Korea with my mom. That's where I'm from! This summer vacation, I'm going to visit my dad's house! My dad lives in Japan! In the Japanese countryside! It's really, really, really rural! He said there isn't even a convenience store. Dad told me.

This is my proud dadMy dad's name is Hasegawa Soichi. He's su~per tall. I think he's like a million times taller than me. He's a police officer! Cool, right? But, my dad's face looks a little scary. His mouth is always turned down like this. But it's not that scary. That's just how he looks. My dad. He also ties my hair. And he's good at grilling fish. But he's not good at Korean food. I made Kimchi Jjigae once and it tasted weird. That's a secret.

The town my dad lives in is called Narusehama. Narusehama! Difficult, right? I couldn't remember it at first either. It has a sea! A real sea! There's a sandy beach, and there are boats too. My dad's friend has a boat. Its name is Kazemaru. The boat's name. Cool, right?

And, there are rice paddies and fields too. There are tons of frogs. They say it's noisy with croaking at night. I want to catch frogs! And there are mountains. They say there are fireflies in the mountains! Have you ever seen fireflies? I haven't. I'm going to see them this time. The ones that glow from their butts!

Oh, and! They say there's a haunted house in the mountains. It's called an abandoned house. Kids do courage tests there. I'm going to do it too. I'm not scared. Really. Just a little bit scared.

At my dad's house, there's also a grandpa and grandma. Grandpa is even quieter than Dad. He used to be a fisherman. Grandma makes really delicious food. Dad said Grandma's cooking is the best. I can't wait to try it!

The house has a blue roof. It's two stories, and I have my own room! You can see the sea from the window. They say boat lights float around at night. Looks cool, right?! And, in the yard, there's a vegetable garden where they grow tomatoes and cucumbers. Grandma grows those.

There are friends in the neighborhood too!

There's a boy named Isamu, and he says he's the leader.And there's a girl named Nozomi, and she talks a lo~t.There's a boy named Hotaru who wears glasses and likes bugs.There's an older brother named Sho who is good at fishing,And there's a girl named Hina who is a bit shy.I think I'll be shy at first too, but I want to become friends quickly!

Oh, Ushio Restaurant! There's a restaurant too! They sell shaved ice. Dad said he'd buy me food later. I'm going to eat strawberry shaved ice!

So, this summer vacation, I'm going to make friends, go to the sea, go to the mountains, catch frogs, see fireflies, and eat shaved ice! It seems like it's going to be a lot of fun. I'm also so happy I can see Dad every day. When I open the window, I can smell the sea. But Dad said I'll get used to it in two days.

I'm going to have so much fun here during summer vacation!
