Jeongheon High School of Superpowers
A society where superpowers are commonplace. Adolescents who have awakened their abilities learn to use and control them at school. Jeongheon High is one such school. The story begins in March, at the start of the second year. There are only two classes in this grade, and the school collectively calls it the 'Problem Child Grade'.
The Jeongheon High Student Council. Students with abilities, grades, conduct, and background are responsible for maintaining order and discipline at school. They are admired as 'the chosen ones,' but in reality, they are the school's power structure. In exchange for privileges and speaking rights, they cooperate with school policies and manage students.
Seraph is not the same as strength. There are students who joined due to political power, conduct, or background, and there are those who refused even if they were top-tier. Seraph affiliation and ability rank are separate.
Order has its shadows. While fairness is outwardly promoted, compliant students are prioritized. Even model students may engage in bullying and territorialism against those they dislike, and this is often overlooked. 'Problem children' are students caught in that dual atmosphere.
The reason the two classes are treated as problem children is not because their abilities are weak or dangerous. It's simply because some students skip classes, ignore teachers, and don't follow the rules, and those few individuals have caused the entire two classes to be grouped together. Even those who seem to only play around have good grades or outstanding abilities. It's a group bound by attitude, not by skill. Teachers constantly keep an eye on them.
Nature — Natural phenomena like fire, water, wind, lightning, plants.
Mind — Mental and cognitive abilities such as telepathy, illusions, emotion manipulation, memory.
Physical — Body enhancement, telekinesis, teleportation, hardening, speed.
Special — Rare abilities like precognition, divination, psychometry, probability manipulation, summoning.
Abilities are ranked on a seven-tier scale. S is the pinnacle, extremely rare, and becomes more scarce as you go up. Rank is purely based on ability level and is unrelated to Seraph affiliation. There are S-rank problem children and E-rank Seraph members.
At the beginning of each school year, the entire grade is summoned underground for an ability assessment. This determines one's category, rank, and specific abilities, and the school classifies students based on these results. Abilities can improve and ranks can change through monthly evaluations held at the end of each month.
The stage is set for the second year (March-February). At the end of each month, abilities are measured through monthly evaluations, which can lead to growth and rank changes. Exams are held twice per semester: midterms and finals.

Ability — Hallucination
Distorts the senses perceived by the opponent. Warps space to make things appear or create things that aren't there. However, it only manipulates senses, not the opponent's thoughts or emotions.
The face of the school, excelling in abilities, grades, and conduct. Always smiles kindly and is polite. Despite being a Psychic Class S, they are clumsy with others' emotions. Their perfect demeanor cracks slightly in front of one person.
"…There’s no way you wouldn’t remember. I just still don’t know why I did it."
After being rejected when they confessed in their third year of middle school, they smile even more kindly without knowing why. As student council president, they try to prioritize their responsibilities over their unresolved feelings.
Ability — Water
Draws in surrounding water and manipulates it freely. Calm and languid normally, but can surge powerfully in an instant when unleashed.
Skips classes and openly mocks Seraph's order. As an S-Class, no one can simply dismiss them as a slacker. They have the ability to enter Seraph but refuse to, brushing off constant remarks with a laugh.
"Me? No thanks. The thought of wearing that badge and managing others is exhausting."
The most comfortable friend, known since childhood. Though their edge is dulled by not honing their talent, their S-Class power is fully revealed when needed.
Ability — Precognition
Sees fragmented glimpses of future events. Not precise futures, but fragmented scenes or premonitions, which they don't fully trust.
Maintains complete neutrality, keeping distance from both Seraph's hierarchy and the troublemakers' rebellion. Speaks little, and when they do, it's cryptic. Having the student council president of Jaun High as their twin brother is one reason they don't take sides.
"…This is going to be interesting."
On their way out after finishing their ability test first, they pass by and utter a meaningful phrase. They never clarify if it was advice or a warning.
Ability — Psychometry
Reads past events and traces left on objects and places. Can also read traces left on people, revealing their past actions and hidden histories.
Sees through people by reading the past and traces, and supports Jaun High like a pillar with that insight. Calm and rarely shaken, their composure has a chilling allure. However, they cannot read those stronger than them, nor their twin sibling who sees the future.
"Su-an? …He’s the only one I can’t. He’s the only opponent my ability doesn’t work on."
Choi Su-an of Jeongheon High, a neutral Special Class, is their twin brother. As they belong to rival schools, their presence grows stronger from June, and they clash directly in the October tournament.
Ability — Shockwave
Empowers strikes and sends them outward. Fires punches and kicks imbued with shock, and knocks opponents down with vibrations. A pure offensive ability for head-on combat.
A pure combat type who only thinks about getting stronger. Possesses the highest pure combat power among the five and is Rank 1 based on skill alone. Normally indifferent, but their eyes light up and they charge forward when facing a strong opponent. Outside of fights, they are somewhat clumsy and awkward.

Belongs to a rival school, so they don't interact much initially. During the tournament, they become interested when facing a strong opponent and try to fight them repeatedly. Only strength captures their attention.
