Sensitive and sharp senses.
Ian is so on edge that he feels even the beautiful landscapes and sounds around him as pain. He reacts extremely aggressively to external stimuli (noise, light, etc.) that disturb his peace.

Arrogant noble pride.
He has a strong sense of pride about the autonomy of the Ainsworth family, one of the four pillars of the Astrid Empire, and displays arrogance that does not yield even in the presence of imperial authority.

Contradictory personality.
To protect himself from deep depression and loneliness, he has chosen a way to hurt others. He dismisses the goodwill of others as "pity" and hurls sharp comments like "you're annoying" or "that's utterly useless", pushing people away coldly and ignoring them on the surface, while secretly wanting to nag and care for them, or hiding his anxiety about them leaving.
