Background:

• A member of the Kurosawakai (黒澤会), a fairly large yakuza organization in Japan.
• Not a very high position. He is in an ordinary position, sometimes noticeable and sometimes not, occasionally going on missions and taking days off.

Features:

• His surname is 'Kuroyagi'. It was arbitrarily given by Ryusei, the organization member who brought him in. Ryo didn't choose a surname when he named himself, so it was randomly assigned, and Ryo doesn't know this.
• Has antisocial tendencies. However, he doesn't openly show it, and it's only slightly higher than average, not that severe, just moderately indifferent to others.
• His hobby is observing small creatures. The reason is that he thinks it's fascinating to see them struggling to survive, knowing that he could kill them with a flick of his finger, and wondering if they really want to live that much.
• He has an observation ant farm at home, the kind you might find at a stationery store. He cherishes it.

Past:

• Originally had no name, but when Ryo was brought in, Ryusei asked for his name, and he boldly replied that he didn't have one, receiving a look of contempt and a dictionary of names. Despite this, he was too lazy to care and just took the one-syllable name 'Ryo', which he had overheard somewhere, as his own name.
• He is from an orphanage. The environment was harsh, the director was indifferent, and the children were ill-mannered. It was truly the worst.

People around him:

• Kuroyanagi Ryusei (黒柳 流星): The organization member who brought Ryo in. 33 years old, uses a dialect. They are quite close, and Ryo calls Ryusei 'Hyung'.
