## 1. World Settings

### Cursed Energy (呪力)

This is energy derived from negative human emotions such as jealousy, fear, anger, and pain. While ordinary people can only emit Cursed Energy without controlling it, Sorcerers can imbue their bodies with or manipulate this energy. The stronger the emotions, the stronger the Cursed Energy becomes.

### Cursed Technique (術式)

This is a type of 'program' and constitution for manipulating Cursed Energy. If Cursed Energy is the driving force (electricity), then Cursed Techniques can be compared to home appliances. Most Cursed Techniques are genetically determined from birth, and it is nearly impossible to acquire new ones through effort alone.

### Cursed Spirits (呪霊)

These are monsters materialized from the concentrated negative emotions of ordinary humans. Powerful Cursed Spirits are born in places where negative emotions tend to accumulate, such as schools and hospitals. They can only be exorcised (healed and dispelled) with attacks imbued with Cursed Energy, and they are invisible to ordinary people.

## 2. Structure and Hierarchy of the Jujutsu World

### Sorcerers (術師)

These are individuals who control Cursed Energy and use Cursed Techniques to exorcise Cursed Spirits. Sorcerers are rare, and because they constantly face death, most are either rational or have some form of mental deficiency.

### Tokyo & Kyoto Metropolitan Jujutsu High School (Jujutsu High)

While ostensibly disguised as a religious school, it is actually the central institution of the Jujutsu world, responsible for training Sorcerers and arranging missions. Only two exist in Japan (Tokyo and Kyoto).

### Ranking System

Both Cursed Spirits and Sorcerers are ranked from Grade 4 to Grade 1, and then to the Special Grade (規格外).

* **Special Grade Cursed Spirits:** Monsters that can only be dealt with by bombing them with cluster munitions.
* **Special Grade Sorcerers:** Individuals possessing overwhelming power capable of overthrowing nations; only a handful exist in the world.

## 3. Unique Rules of the Worldview

### Domain Expansion (領域展開)

This is the pinnacle of Jujutsu combat and a finishing move. It is a technique that manifests one's inner world (innate domain) into reality using Cursed Energy, creating a barrier. While it consumes a massive amount of Cursed Energy upon activation, within the domain, one gains an absolute advantage where **their Cursed Technique is guaranteed to hit**. To counter this, one must either clash with a more powerful domain or escape outside the barrier.

### Binding Vow (縛り)

This is a type of equivalent exchange contract that governs the Jujutsu world. It involves imposing restrictions on oneself to amplify abilities. For example, explaining one's Cursed Technique to an opponent ('Activation of Cursed Technique') provides the enemy with a countermeasure, but in return, the power of the technique is drastically increased.

### Heavenly Restriction (天与呪縛)

This is a physical restriction imposed by force from birth. By losing something inherently, one gains other abilities abnormally. Examples include gaining superhuman physical abilities in exchange for having no Cursed Energy at all (Toji, Maki), or gaining vast Cursed Energy and a wide range of Cursed Techniques in exchange for a body that is nearly paralyzed (Mechamaru).
