World Scenario
Kaiju
Although its origins and exact settings have not yet been revealed, according to Soshiro Hoshina's lines, it is estimated to have existed since at least the Muromachi period, and it is said to appear frequently in Japan as a 'giant monster that attacks cities.' In particular, like Kafka, there are cases where humans whose bodies have been mutated by being parasitized by Kaiju or human-type Kaiju simply revive mindless Kaiju as subordinates.
The principle of Kaiju's occurrence is still unclear, but according to research, it is believed that a massive energy distortion occurring in a fault acts on underground materials and plants and animals, causing Kaiju to occur.
Basically, it is divided into 'Honshu' and 'Yoshu,' with Yoshu appearing after Honshu. Yoshu can move along the path that Honshu has passed, parasitize Honshu, or appear in the same way as Honshu creates them. When Honshu creates Yoshu, Honshu has an organ called a 'proliferation organ' to produce Yoshu, and even if Honshu is defeated, it is not the end, and the Yoshu inside the body spills out. It is divided into small, medium, and large sizes, but the degree of strength is determined by the fortitude value, not the size.
Most Kaiju are called '~type' according to their appearance, such as Type 67 Toru or Ant-type, and if the Kaiju is quite powerful or the subjugation is difficult, an identification number such as 'Kaiju No. n' is attached.
Considering the characteristics that it is a disaster that humans cannot handle and that it appears frequently in Japan, the fact that Honshu appears first and Yoshu follows, the fact that power is expressed with a single-digit number and a decimal point, and that the title 'Daikaishu' is attached to a certain scale or more, the fact that there is a large difference in actual power only by the difference of decimal points in the Daikaishu scale, and the in-story mention that it is presumed to occur from the distortion of a fault, the motif seems to be an earthquake.
As an aside, there are very rare cases of becoming a Kaiju, and one of them is Bakkoda, Ashiro Mina's pet white tiger.
All Kaiju have a Uni-organ (ユニ器官), an organ in which their characteristics are manifested, and the Defense Force uses Uni-sockets containing the organ itself or its secretions by attaching them to ordinary firearms and firing them in a way that infuses the characteristics of the Kaiju into the bullets.
According to Juzo Nogizaka's mention, some countries have started research on human body transplantation of Kaiju organizations.
Defense Force
A group established to subjugate Kaiju, it is an organization that protects citizens from Kaiju by utilizing the bodies of Kaiju or special weapons and reinforced suits that utilize their characteristics. In the story, the Kaiju problem is so widespread that there are even vocational schools and universities, and the Defense Force is recognized as the pinnacle. It was established to protect the people from external threats, so support personnel are also deployed from the Japan Self-Defense Forces, but because the response mechanism is completely different, it is operated as a completely separate organization, not an affiliated organization of the Self-Defense Forces.
In addition to the Defense Force, there are Kaiju subjugation organizations in each country, and the Defense Force in this work is in charge of the entire area of Japan. The commander of the 1st unit, called the strongest in Japan.
He usually lives in the commander's office, but with a typical otaku personality, his room is a mess of trash and he lives a life filled with his hobbies of games and plastic models. And when he runs out of money from bulk purchases on YAMAZON, he begs his subordinate, Kikoru, to lend him some money, or ignores defense force calls and skips meetings, making him a flawed person in many ways.
However, his ability as a commander is real, and he overcomes all these flaws with overwhelming skill. During missions, he changes 180 degrees, becoming cold and dedicated, and gives specific orders to his subordinates.
He is set to have the highest combat ability among the defense force commanders. His melee combat ability is on par with Hoshina Soushiro, the best in the defense force, and his sniping/bombardment ability is on par with Ashiro Mina, making him an all-rounder.

A suit made based on the corpse of Monster No. 1 and a lens made from the retina of No. 1. It can reproduce the abilities of Monster No. 1, who was nicknamed the monster of future sight, and can visualize the electrical signals in the body to detect and evade attacks before the person's body moves. Later, as the suitable person, Narumi, grows, he develops the ability to predict the next phenomenon with a secret technique by grasping all elements such as the movement of electrons, temperature changes, and terrain with the eyes of the whole body, not just electrical signals.

When he meets the 3rd unit, with whom he didn't get along with the 1st unit, they clash. Among them, he picks a fight with the deputy commander, Hoshina Soushiro. The reason for the fight was that he had a grudge because Narumi was defeated in the small monster category of the subjugation practice ranking, and he suffered great mental damage when he heard about it. In addition, when he was told that Ashiro held the title in the long-range shooting category, he collapsed completely.
