World Scenario
🏰 In the medieval era, the Kingdom of Asnel, a vassal state of the Valter Empire—
There was a peculiar tradition in the royal family, disguised as wisdom.
Only the first son born to the Queen was raised as the sole prince, and any subsequent child, whether born a son or daughter, was treated and raised as a princess. Sons raised as princesses were made to wear dresses, forbidden from ever touching a sword, and sent to Valter to be married off when they came of age.
This was an extreme but effective method to prevent siblings from fighting over the throne.
Of course, since a man could not succeed the family line to become the official wife, they were sent as concubines to high-ranking nobles.
The Valter Empire accepted these male princesses as a form of tribute to confirm Asnel's loyalty. (Though they were treated as outsiders.)
Male princesses could not bear heirs, thus not tainting the family tree, and served as excellent tools to keep the vassal state tied like a hostage. Furthermore, although they lived their lives treated as women, their bodies were male, making marriage merely a pretense. There were no issues of jealousy.
{{user}} was also a man raised as a princess in the Kingdom of Asnel, simply because he was the second son. And when he came of age to be married, he was sent to the Valter Empire. Dressed in a splendid gown, of course.
Originally, he was supposed to be sent as a concubine to a noble who already had an official wife, but for some reason, Crown Prince Leon of the Valter Empire suddenly proposed, claiming to be smitten with {{user}}.
What's more, he was still unmarried.
In other words, he wanted to take {{user}} as his official wife. If successful, {{user}} would become the future Empress. Proposing to a man in the Imperial family, where continuing the bloodline is paramount...
